Fixed the windscreen washer Jets after a year

>need to see if a fuse is bad so I can fix my cigarette lighter and play tunes over the radio again
>Too fucking cold to want to do anything on the car

reee

>fixed vacuum leak
>engine idling healthy and strong now

didn't have the front driver-side turn signal for the longest time and I got that fixed the other day. it made the left blinker go on and off much faster than usual

i replaced the windshield
but then the trim clips broke due to dry rot.

how did you find the leak, i'm thinking of using the kilmer method

My poor reversing lights

Installed a thermometer yesterday aswell. Feels good to finally get around to adding all those small details

Seafoams, that's it

>Coolant froze up in -37C
>No internal damage
>One hose decided to bite it
>Replaced hose

Feels good man

My windshield washer fluid reservoir cracked at -20 but holy shit where are you?

Oil change on scooter the other day.

>Draining oil
>Gust of wind pushes on through
>Oil flys everywhere
Kill me.

going 100 miles north to visit inlaws this weekend, so i fixed the leaky door gasket (just needed a clean) and put one of those dollar tree moisture collectors in it to dry it all out
it was grody, the floor mat was growing fungus
>beautiful drive
>different state, better laws
mfw then i get to buy some wd21 parts for cheap on the way home for my D
proper 15" wheels and a new seat are the big deals
will feel good to have a fender liner for the passenger side and my power won't get all wonky when i drive over a puddle
>my poor alternator
/blog

use the watercuck method

Need to fix the hatch on my 89 Mustang. Every place on the Internet says to get a new bushing for the striker, but that didn't fix it and the hatch still won't close

i just did the same, but it wasn't a year - covered under warranty

get new striker?

>The kilmer method
R E V

Wheel bearings, ball joints and inner and outer tie rods on my STI.

PUFF PUFF REV

Solved the cylinder misfire#4 by clearing code lol

>Misfired only once
>Car decides to throw code

Looking for oem spark plugs r hard, everyone has conflicting info.

Anyone wanna tip me on detailing? I plan to wash my car, clay bar it them wax it. Sound i just get a kit?

Any ideas how my axle could have popped out of my transmission while I was driving?

Middle of a right hand turn, the passenger (right) side axle.

Whole front end started bouncing up and down, pulled over, both axles are in. Put in reverse, terrible grinding and bouncing again, check under hood, axle is out.

How in the fuck. They're less than a year old.

I might have to try that desu, but first I'll take off the latching mechanism to clean it just to make sure

>need to flush power steering on both cars because both have brown fluid
>daily has brown coolant too
>daily is also due for an oil change
>it's been in the single digits the past week

FUCK YOU MOTHER NATURE

I learned everything from ((((reddit)))) on r/auto detailing. The wiki on the top has everything

recently broke the lid on the center console box thing in a fit of rage. tore it right off. i guess i should try to get a new one i have no comfy arm rest now

You didn't put it in all the way or ots the wrong size

Nope, triple checked that when I put it in over a year ago. Axles and everything are just over a year old.

Just got it towed, looks like the inner driver cup got shreaded somehow, the metal is torn outwards.

All suspension components are there and working.

I don't get it, the geometry should make this impossible. how the fuck.

>gf sees my car for the first time
>I like your car user

- Replaced heater control and light height adjusment instrument lights

Gotta love tinkering with your shitbox

what is it?

A bus.

>hear vibrating noise when idling
>check every heat shield and every screw in the engine bay, find nothing
>the other day gf was scraping ice off windshield, l lean on the hood, vibrating gone
>adjust hood-buffers, noise gone for good

Fucking finally figured out this winter issue
Wanted to clean the throttlebody today but fuck the snowstorm

>How in the fuck. They're less than a year old.
Where they OEM or remanufactured in a shitty country?

Dude it'll take you less than 1 min

Just put a new ignition switch on my Mustang. The thing was actually turning off and on during traffic because it was barley holding together. It actually pretty much fell apart once I got it out. Pic related.

kekked. everything looks like a nail when you're holding a hammer

I fuckin wish I could spend time on shit like my glove box. Currently, my car is puking gasoline all over the ground from the return line and I can't access the hose clamp because there's tons of also broken ABS crap sitting in the way. End me

Same deal here

>suspect backup switch on trans is bad
>it either just rained or cold as fuck
>don't want to lay underneath with multimeter to test it.

I coulda had this fixed two weeks ago but then the above existed.

>Road tripped it down to Calgary from Edmonton to find a non-cracked up bumper
>Swapped these fuck-off huge wrap-around bumpers in the Pick-n-Pull parking lot
>Dumpstered the old one, drove home

>Had starter refurbed

Next task this weekend, I think, is to get the cig lighter working to keep my phone charged, since it's gonna stop being -30 out for a few days here.

My econobox is still under warranty so I got my seat fixed for free

>fixed glove box

Must be nice.

>finished 120k timing service on interference engine
>last time the rubber belt was changed was 15 years ago and it looked like shit when I pulled it out
>mfw can finally drive around without constant worrying about how its going to snap

Nice, i plan to change it on my Volvo but last time i did a timing belt took me forever since i don't have much tools. Honestly just taking it to the dealer sounds attractive atm

>headlight harness shorts out from insulation cracking, exposed wires
>wat now
>pull out other low bulb, drive around on highs for months
>finally get diagnosed for cheap at good shop
>buy harness
>goes into my german luxury shitbox in 20 mins, somehow
>mfw

>only find pic related in good enough condition to take home
its a start, anyone got ideas for my badge i dont need

Welded up the hole in the fuel tank, now it doesn't leave a trail of petrol drips!

>replaced an engine in my shitbox
>Was a bad decision but gained a great deal of mechanic knowledge

>Suspension made annoying squeaking sound on hard bumps
>Clean car
>Sound now gone

Make a keychain it off it

its nearly the size of my big meaty claws

Fixed it.

The 1156 socket had an asstonne of rust in it.

Windshiekd washers uncloged and corrected to right height, rear windshield wiper motor replaced, changed all caf fuses, changed front speakers from stock to new (sounds great), changed left mirror because I broke it. Well of was some kind of work put into it. Ow and recently fixed the water from going into my trunk door :)
