its actually pretty good now with kitavas feast, you get a 7l and free melee splash so you don't have to go slayer and go go berserker

it will never be a tier 1 skill but you can beat everything except shaper and uber atziri with it and a decent speed

so stop asking dumb questions if you don't want dumb answers, there's never a clear case of "CI is better than LL for spellcasters" or the opposite, it depends on each build, and the 30% more damage of PA + auras isn't necessarily worth losing Infused Shield and 100% chaos resistance, or it might be very well worth it with Eye of Chayula+, it all depends on your perspective/build, end of the line

I played it till 93-94 last league and i'm playing it again now , it is still mechanically strong and most people underrate it because it has a playstyle that was more fitting in ambush than breach. The only downside is that its namelock and actually melee so in super dense areas you can get mob blocked and you have to put yourself in super high risk areas to deal damage.

you can get to level 100 vsparking, irrelevant, if you can kill guardians and hard t15s with it, sure but until then you're just a subpar true melee build with a built-in abyssal cry -- kinda lose its appeal when abyssal cry is available to everyone now

Facebreaker IFB was pretty good.

if you're close to level 20 gems, flip them when they hit 20, if you're leveling a new character, buy quality gems

the difference is generally something like 50% damage for spells, pretty significant considering it's like getting 3-4 nodes of damage over someone with non-quality gems
