My 2 cars currently. Looking for more cool old sports cars to buy

MR2 AW11
Supra A60
RX7 FC
R32 (less realistic i guess)

looking hard for an MR2, currently drive a stock '90 cressida. My family keeps trying to talk me out of buying an old car. They want me to get a civic and they probably won't help me out if I get an older car but hopefully I can find something good under $5,000

I want a DD-able condition Fiero GT. You have no idea how badly I want one.

Having a minivan engine instead of the glorious pigiron lolnorevs SR20DET

Sorry to inform you, but a 240sx is not a sports car

I need some datsun in my life.

How is the L28 efi to work on? Compared to the L24 carb if you have?

I sports in it, therefore it must be a sports car.

burgers btfo

I'm switching over to megasquirt, my ECU took a shit on me so I figured I'd upgrade. It's a stock l28 with L28ET turbo parts on it, including the Borg Warner 5 speed

underage b&

all of them

I love these baby Firebirds.

Cressidas are cool. Pics?

>baby firebirds
Funny you should say that, there's a kit out to mount a transverse 350 SBC

There's also similar kits for LS V8's that aren't the LS4.

The ingenuity of the Fiero fanbase never ceases to amaze me.
Every single problem you have with the Fiero has an aftermarket solution.

Dank.

AE82 Twin Cam Corolla.

I don't give a toasted fuck what anyone says, I want a Bricklin.

I'd love to get a Z31.

The gas struts for those gullwings will fail and trap you inside.

Same, Fucking love AW11's. I was thinking about a SC model, but they're all torn up or have shit exhausts.

Opel manta b
Already own my dream 70s/80s car

It's fun to drive, gets a lot of comments from drifters. the I6 and the 130k mileage gets them excited. Just trying to sell it for a decent price but I fucked the front wheel up in an accident so it may take me a while. Not a fan of the color either, wish it was charcoal

i had a 1992 blue grande

waterpump shat itself and blew the engine. only had it for 2 years.

for a 20 year old sedan it picked up and went pretty quick 7.0 to 100km/h

why no intercooler ?
looks like there is plenty of room

Pontiac 6000

I need to get my x7 on the road. The engine needs so much to fix all the oil leaks I'm contemplating a swap and saving the 5M for another vehicle

Always wanted one.

240z or FB Rx7 for sure.
Both of them are terrible to find in PA. I've even thought of flying to Arizona to buy a non rusty 240z, cost 9k down there are 25k up here. Absolutely retarded.

this

S12 Gazelle, currently ripping out the old engine and prepping it for an LS1.

There's a bunch I would like, but I always keep going back to liftback Celicas. And 240Zs too, but they are non-existant here.

The absolute madmobile.

im burning like a quart every 3 months =(

If you can consider the Fox Mustang a sports car.

Would kill for an rx7, Aw11 or Fiero though

1982

Looking forward an MR2 MK1 1.6l or an X1/9 1.5l, as long as it is a midengine

>someone on Veeky Forums owns an alpine
Holy shit, I'd give my left nut for one of those.

those headlights tho

To be fair though, it's really the A110 that is crazy expensive.
Later models are neither very rare nor that expensive in France. They are not cheap but still attainable.

87 rx7 n/a with meme sticker

There is a guy selling an MR2 near me for £650
either that thing is fucked or he is an idiot who doesn't know it is worth ten times that

Just bought this FC. Only has 48k miles on it.

Nice.

I just want my Mk3 Supras to run right, that's all.

Gettin one this year

SOOOWEEEET!

I can't wait to see how much these are auctioning for at Barrett-Jackson this week. Saw a few there that were all original.

should I, Veeky Forums?
It's for sale nearby

>R32 (less realistic i guess)
R32's are around the same price if not cheaper than RX7's where I live

Falcon XE Turbo or Falcon ESP...just something about that boxy 80s look...

>tfw one for sale near me
>It's the FWD non turbo version
I still love this stupid looking car though.

Na Rb26det swap in this beautiful beast

Nearly bought a Porsche 944

MR2's are worth roughly 3000-5000 now.

Swap in a WRX of Forester Turbo drivetrain, see who happens.

There is one for sale by my house but it is 30k.

Im not dropping that much for a sport sedan

damn thing gives me a boner

>he doesn't have a GSL-SE
>laughingwhores.jpeg

Ok so 5 times that. Still super cheap even if it does need some work

They won't fit. The engine is too wide. That chassis was designed for a pushrod flat 4. Not a DOHC or SOHC flat 4. I looked into it when I realized I loved the styling but not the engines.

The XT6 came with a SOHC 2.7L flat 6.

I want a z31 so bad
i initially wanted the 2+2 but I'm thinking of getting the 2 seater

If you can, aim for a later model turbo. Looks nicer, and it's easy enough to squeeze out a fair few extra horses by adding an intercooler and upping the boost.

1st gen Nistune also works on the Z31 ECUs, definitely worth looking into.

hnnng I want this so bad
a bit heavy though and floppy chassis I hear.
worst part is trying to find something good. even knowing the engine doesn't always help since there are big hp differences even for the same displacement engine.

there's quite a lot of late turbos here. But I kind of wanted the 4 seater since I'm a young guy and I figure having the possibility to carry people could help my social life which doesn't exist

I owned an early model 2+2 and there was barely enough leg room for children in the back, adults would have a really tough time fitting in there unless you and your front passenger are both quite short.

They're also a bit of a cunt to work on, the VG30E was a mess of wiring and spaghetti, I can't even imagine what the ET would be like.

Mines better than a gslse
85 limited, Same bolt pattern, same brakes, except not left hand drive shit

Did it come with the 13B? I vaguely remember the Aussies had a 12A turbo option sometime in the FB era as well.

12a but doesn't matter they are both gutless as stock
12at was only option in Japan.

>12a but doesn't matter

AHA GOTCHA

I kid, I'm sure the 13B was not much better. I only ever drove a 12A SA and FB myself. As far as I'm concerned, the best thing about the -SE was the wheels although the LSD and all-disc brakes would have been nice to have as well. I really like those stock wheels.

>adults would have a really tough time fitting in there unless you and your front passenger are both quite short.

well I must be in luck, since I'm a turbo manlet

I need to move drivers seats almost all the way front to push the clutch fully

Saw this car at the junk yard, its so small and cute

Save the body panels. They're dent resistant plastic and becoming hard as fuck to find.

Realistically, this if I don't find a decent xkr-s soon. I would rather get an earlier, wedgier one if possible.

Even the truck engine was marketed as a sports car right down to the 90s 4 wheel steering meme.

I recently bought a 85 MR2 that is in very good condition plus the guy had the original car cover and bra from the dealership. They're out there, user, just keep looking and wait for the right deal.

How much and whats wrong with it? Around here that would be an awesome find.
