It was just a little project I built over the last few months.

Thing's real damn fast and only weighs 14 lbs with cheap alloy wheels and fork.

Turns out that extra lum sticker fit perfectly as a badge on the headtube
I put the 'broken' sticker right over a crack in the seattube, thought it was fitting.

Wait, so it's actually made of bamboo? That's really impressive. I just thought it was bamboo cut to fit over the existing frame or something.

I also never got an invoice for my last order from the printers so I'm a little nervous they'll make me pay for that plus the new order. But we'll see

3rd ever vector, how did I do? give me some critiques please. Also, what's the best way to "end" a line that goes into space and has nothing on the other end. If I end it as a point it looks weird. If I put two dots on either side and try to round it off it generally comes off looking kind of weird too. How do you guys do it?

here's the image I traced it off of. I tried adding her other hair lines / eye brows at first but I couldn't really find a way to make them look neat and not like a tangled cluster fuck of solid lines so I just sort of tweaked her bangs and made everything else just flat.

It's not that it's low quality, it's just not as thick a material as others. It's like actually applying vinyl, so if you peel it back up it's likely to stretch/possibly tear. Sorry, not trying to put you in a bad light

do you have an email or something? i see a lot of potential and a lot of things that need to be fixed.

the major issues:
yare missing a lot of detail from the original: You forgot the eyebrows. she looks angry in your version where she seems worried in the original. The hair has no depth (missing lines), looks like a helmet :( Check veryyy closely, her mouth is closed, but it's open in your vers. your vers has angles on the clothes where it shouldnt be(see red).

min. issues:
blue=incomplete connections
green=bad lines (too thin/thick/wobbly)
your coloring could be better(learn to use textures (for this picture it would benefit a lot) or email me)

to answer your question, it depends on what the line is (clothing/hair). hair is (generally) sharper than clothes.

all and all i really like it.

almost forgot, fix the stray hairs on top.

I couldn't find a way to make the eyebrows look nice either. Same thing with the rest of the hair lines, as soon as I started adding them in they started looking kind of bad. I can try again with varying thicknesses on them to see if it gets better.

Let me go back and work on what you pointed out and get that to look nicer. I'll probably end up doing it tomorrow since I have some shit that needs to be done today.

it's a drawing. some of the lines need to be thin to make sense. just dont use strokes, see pic.

a texture is just a repeating pattern, those patterns on her hair and uniform. it's not necessary, but i like them. i usually make my textures in gimp, and have inkscape autotrace them, as inkscape provides pretty crummy ones (top right, watercolor). this is an example of some halftones i used in the last vector.

something that i would try for this picture, is making a pattern and overlaying like SHAFT sometimes does. (see pic).

Yeah, I'm doing them the way that's green checkmarked in your pick. Sometimes it ends up looking a bit wonky though so I guess I need to watch out for that.

I'm probably going to leave it textureless since I'm planning out to just print out a few stickies for myself to just slap on shit. I think it looks kind of nice when it's in flat grayscale like that.

The bamboo was just from a little forest growing behind my neighborhood. I just had to spend about a month of weekends heat curing, sanding and clear coating it. All bamboo is construction grade if you know what you're doing.
I made the joints out of carbon fiber, yeah.

I have a whole lot of pictures on my drive, but some of them have my face, so I'm not too keen on sharing those. Here's one from early on in the construction process though.

yeah if you cite code 15.22b of the 2016 revision of the Auto Sticker Sales Act (ASS for short) it states clearly:
"Under no circumstance shall any person partake in the replication, revectoring, tracing, or copying of personal automotive vinyl which is claimed as personal or intellectual property of another person."

Though, in section 15.22c there is a fair use clause that delves into exceptions of the prior ruling, but you can go ask your local ASS inspector about more details.
