Deja Vu! I have been in this place before.

not even the best sounding engine volvo ever made

So I read a book on engine design recently and it shows that inline engines with an odd number of cylinders are nicely balanced. Yet my dad (who has worked as a mechanic for over 20 years) doesn't trust them and prefers anything (even i4) with an even number of cylinders. Does he have a point or are i5s fine? Specifically, I'd like to know what the reliability on the 2nd gen Ford Focus ST's is like. (the ones from around 2005)

All inline 6's do

My Volvo i5 is great. Reliable, very smooth. Decent gas mileage

>rotating engines sounding good

Okay I admit it, for like the 4th time this week. Jesus.

>tfw seeing this thread for the 50th time this week

then hide it

>implying engines sound good

This and only this, but stop fucking posting this thread.

TFW Ford hates North America

40 keks

>this is allowed repeatedly but footposts get removed
At least those are always different

Even the mods know that the inline 5 is superior

Nonsense
Check out this F&F Integra Type R senpai

I just puked a little

>Nothing but a whine and wasted fuel.

>nothing about weight

The B20 used in the older volvos such as the 140 got a pretty good sound (atleast in my opinion)

>try holding an OHC V8 and tell me how easy it is

You've never heard an inline 8 before
youtu.be/PSjLZWm180I

>you can't hold 400 hp in two h...

Not even posting the obvious GOAT 5 cyl.

>Not even in an Audi.

Everyone does

The fully assembled 13b weigts only 112kg with manifolds, alternator etc.

Sounds more whiny than your mom last night

Let me know which two are going to need a rebuild after 50,000 miles

Are you aware of how heavy 112kg is?

It's almost as heavy as your mum.

A fully equiped OHV V-8 weights about doubble of that.
