Why wasn't there a 4 door Mustang ever?

Why wasn't there a 4 door Mustang ever?

it existed before the Mustang was made

Better question: Why was there a Mustang ever?

It was called the Falcon. There also was the Ford LTD and other 4 door vehicles that shared platforms with the Mustang.

...

Isn't that basically the Maverick?

4 door mustang is whatever 4 door is on the same platform with a hot-ish v8.

>implying

Factory hatch/wagon/running break would have been cooler IMO. At least something different.

> hes doesn't know the history of Muscle Cars

>thinks mustangs were muscle cars

Not OP but the Mustang proper had never really been 4 doors to my knowledge. Yes there have been "Chargers" but not true 4 doors.

Pony Car, whatever.

People dumped big block V8s into them fags

>People dumped big block V8s into them fags
First gen Mustangs didn't have an engine bay to support Ford's gargantuan big blocks.

You can put a big block into whatever, the only factory big blocks were for
> muh-nascar

Nice Commodore.

If by "64.5 to 73" Generation 1 you're wrong, they could cram 390s, 427s, 428s, and 429s in them at the factory

Or did you mean "64.5-66" earliest version of Gen1?

Because 4 door performance cars were always more of an Australian thing.

In America a fast looking or nice car had two doors and that's what people associated two doors with.

Being a foor door ment it was a boring family sedan.

as it should be

CAUSE IT'S FUCKING GAY

absolute rubbish

...

Do you ever see those videos where Americans go to Australia and look at all the four door cars?

"They are like my grandmas church car but they've stuck a big blower out the bonnet, it's crazy"

>Fox body
It was the sole purpose for the car model
