DRZ a best

KLX150 a best

...

R3 best bike.

Early for
>No idea how to get these carbs off the intake boots
Any tips?

Rip and tear

...

You know, some people posted earlier this year about how they would never buy an older bike with four carbs because of how it would make maintenance more difficult, and I think someone actually disagreed

As soon as I've paid this off, I will buy a Super Bike.

I've got two and that's too many already..

step 1: lay down on ground on brake lever side of bike

step 2: pull down and away from the bike on brake lever side of handlebar

>driving on the left
and you will go to jail, because there is no way that's the autobahn, or even the US where cops are sparse and lazy and speed cameras are even sparser

also nice gloves

>yfw you crash at 200kph with no gloves

There are clamps holding the carbs to the boot like on everything else i would guess

sell it

I'll try that. The rubber is rock hard though.

Well I think those night be easier to take off. Problem is the carbs are in the v and are facing in I guess. don't know how to word that.

Done ;)

Hit it with a hammer.

They're loosened to the max.

Tru. Gotta make it run first though.

Should I pull the trigger on a 17 s1000RR?
Also finance Jew or just wait and buy outright?

youtube.com/watch?v=B4CrE6IwlLg

good bike chases in movies?

Ohh okay, then just twist/ bend in different directions. If the rubber is rock hard they need replacing anyways

>that
>superbike fast
>200km/h
They're a lot faster than that m8.

Yeah that's what I figured.

How bad of an idea is it just to cut them off

>Carbs are still being put on newly manufactured bikes

Yeah, just a pigtai you add to the battery, and the stuff has its own controller. Way easier that layering up.

You linked the wrong previous thread, dipshit.

Mods pls!!!!

*twist and bend them in the boot while pulling on them

Buy outright. You'll feel better about yourself

Suzuki m8 they be cucks senpai

How does this make you feel?

buy 4 DRZs instead

From this pic it looks like you would want to twist the rack counterclockwise while rocking and pulling up. You can spray the boots with some armor all and let them sit overnight, it does help soften them up.

I know. Im using the clover app. Its a pain in the ass to copy and paste in it.
That thread was useless anyway

Yeah they've been soaking in armor all for two days. No dice. I tried that. Maybe the rubber is too thick.

Would heat help?

Depends, cutting with a knife would be fine if you can but i wouldnt recomend a dremel. If there are no cracks or anything in the boots you could still use them but i would honestly just get new ones since if they leak it will lean out your bike

Like someone out there is still buying fuel stabilizer and ethanol-free gas

Yeah I was just going to use a pocket knife and go ham on it. I'm going to call the Honda parts department though first to see if they still can order the intake boot.

The last time I dealt with really hard carb boots I just used a hacksaw for metal to cut through them between the carb and the intake ports on the engine.

Doesn't really matter if they're ruined since you're gonna replace them.

there are two CBX's for sale not too far away from me. I cannot imagine who at honda thought people would actually want a bike with 6 carbs.

>not buying discounted parts on bikebandit with your AMA membership

shiggy diggy, enjoy overpaying the stealership

No, cops around m8. Thats why I can go fast.

>Implying I have to worry about that while wearing a $40 (more or less) helmet.
I'll be dead if I wipe at that speed.

210 is only short 30 for the top end of a SV-1000.

It is the fastest I have ever been on a bike.
My other bike is a KLR 650, it isn`t exactly super fast anyway.

I support local business and the chance to ogle shit like this every time I go buy parts for by $475 bike.

Also parts are only marked up like an extra 10 percent, not a big deal to me. Shit like tires and batteries though I just buy online.

At that time it was whatever. Still is such a cool engine. They sound like a jet fighter at high rpm. I new a guy in Oregon who has two in his collection and man they're cool.

Yeah you could try a hairdryer. If you have a rubber mallet you could also try tapping around to get them lose. I would try NOT to cut them, they may be reusable and why flush money if you're going to flip it anyway.

>tfw my bike does more than 230 in 4th gear
w e w

Literbike memes are the best.

Because if I'm going to ride it before I try to sell it I at least want to do it right. I've done terrible work on a few vehicles already and I just want to take pride in something. It gets better with every bike I buy.

>honda
>local business
cmon now senpai

Local dealership. I'm going to the auction on Saturday to eyefuck some bikes.

ITT webms of people riding like niggers

>inb4 you hit a pothole at 150 mph, go into a tankslapper, fly off and treequinox yourself

I forgot, I get to be a meme too now.
Suzuki DL
>1000
V-Strom

hey faggots, just passed the test for my provisional licence, feels good man. one year til i can legally ride anything, should probably start saving for something less shitty

just try...

Ever heard of a sighting run?

It's a huge part of staying alive, and more importantly, keeping your low insurance rates

But do you get to be the >160hp meme?

...and stop me.

>i was here a few minutes ago so theres absolutely no way i can crash!

whatever man the gene pool will be better off without you

What multi tool do you fucks prefer to carry with you and why?

jesus christ you guys are actually worse riders than reddit

The fact that you're having trouble getting them off tells me that they're probably not bad. Usually if they dry rot they crack and don't hold on to the parts anymore.

If you cut them you absolutely have to buy new ones, vs. only maybe having to replace them if they're bad.

I'm the dude with the 83 magna, I'm still using all the original boots. Took them off and soaked them in a bag of armor all while I rebuilt the carbs.

You could spend the $40 on other stuff.

>mfw I know someone who maintains a collectors CBX and Benelli Sei
>he's got the local VP gas representative on fucking speed dial for ethanol free gas

>Tfw shitting your pants vicariously because of those wide lines

how does this make you feel

I don't. Every bike I've owned has had a tool kit and I have a decent pocket knife.

Hugely of there's a truck to getting these off then I'd love to hear it because I'm shooting blanks. I've been tearing at then for 2 days now.

Yeah but at least we have bikes

>I was there a few minutes ago so I know there's no potholes, tar snakes, patches of horse manure, construction zones, etc

Yeah, that's actually how it works. Sighting runs are done below the speed limit if necessary. Never hoon without doing one first.

>Hugely of there's a truck
Honestly if there's a truck*
Fuck this phone

t-their body position is crossed up

s-s-shit riders

G20

>road conditions dont change
going that fast on the street is kinda retarded, especially with shitty roads or at night, like in those webms...

dont be a moron

eh you're not going that fast

>R3
>best
It's half way there.

>Nobike dectected

Shitkak: So bad at wrenching he needs a truck to take his carbs off

i have 7 bikes

>not being a suicidal hoon
what did he mean by this

Man I suck.

i can afford to race and go to track days so i dont have to be retarded and act like im cool for it

Isn't there a webm of somebody going hugely into a truck?

You may also want to try prying between the head and carb body with a fairly hefty screwdriver. IIRC that's what I had to do with mine the first time. just be careful and don't bust anything.

post racing

I figured that might help but I was worried about damaging the aluminum.

>implying you have a bike

And yet, I don`t see the proofs.

Yeah, to be fair. 210 on a quiet highway is that dangerous.

Lanspliting at 80ks between stopped cars is super deadly.

Post leans

Are you me?

...

It's comforting to see a corner open up towards the end

When you took those last two corners it was like the corner was just the corner, all the way through. I get it, it looks like you were trying to avoid the rough patches, but it's just freaky looking.

Get a load of this guy

look at valentino rossi over here with his fucking phone taped to his face lol

youtube.com/watch?v=86sS0s041qk

>i can afford to race and go to track days so i dont have to be retarded and act like im cool for it

interesting.

the samsung hero 3 is the ultimate in shitty webm capture technology

notice how im not doing 150 mph at night lol

>implying any of those are you
Nah m8 we can't really lanesplit too often over here. People are absolute cunts about it.

Illinois is full of absolute dogshit drivers and tons of cunts.

I can understand this. I don't think I have any webms of me not taking weird fucked up lines while fucking around on the street just because of how fucked up they are around here.

>"I can afford"

>one track day:
>$100+ track fee
>however much your ultra grippy race tires cost
>new brake pads too
>hope the rotors are still good
>a few thousand miles off the operational life of your bike
>god forbid you crash

Yeah, how often do you race?

It's a lot harder on the wallet than finding a place with no cops or cameras and going fast in a mostly straight line for half a minute.

>a few thousand miles off the operational life of your bike

confirmed for never owning a bike or tracking a bike

just admit you a damn hypocrite

yeah you're just going 60mph around blind corners with a solid wall of rock on one side of the road and a cliff on the other

then you catch up to the sane, responsible people and go like 40

If anyone cares, I found a great video. Thanks for the advice everyone.

youtu.be/89C4iZbZCNI

>however much your ultra grippy race tires cost
i use DOT tires and buy takeoffs. not expensive
>new brake pads too
>hope the rotors are still good
they last a while
>a few thousand miles off the operational life of your bike
lol well it's a track bike obviously im not expecting it to last
>god forbid you crash
Better to crash on the track than on the fucking street ya dingus

Yeah you have to pick your spot, maybe shove a rag or something in to prevent metal to metal contact, and go at it gently till it breaks free.

>tfw no qt blonde bf to ride with

I watched the guy do it here and I see how to do it. I'm stoked.
