I'm not new to the series and i usually grab shit when its released but life got in the way till recently then i forgot about it entirely now i have an apparently 300+hr christmas present.
Well shit. Skyrim got boring fast even with mods and i've got witcher for ps4 so theres none of that to be had.

Never. No one has yet surpassed Gothic or Morrowind.

I just finished Blood and wine and now i feel empty inside. I actually REEEE'd when i got the worst ending where detlaff,syanna and annarietta dies. So i reloaded and made it so only Syanna died but i went to prison. Atleast Regis didnt have to cry.

Now for the autisti-list of the things that bugged me in the game.

>the matters of state quest with djikstra betraying us was fucking retarded and felt unfinished
>the wild hunt and eredin were pushovers and barely added anything to the game.
>the crones felt like demigod like beings at first but were reduced to flinging shit and pummeling ciri when you return there.
>everyone turns to ice at kaer morhen but only vesemir dies.
>the white frost is no longer a unstoppable force of nature but something more like a creature that ciri kills offscreen based on your parenting.
>dandelion is a twink faggot instead of a rugged hilarious bro with flowery vocabulary.
>storyline feels rushed after isle of mists

You know, since I don't like the design of so many grandmaster armours, I then had to re-craft the mastercrafted versions for screenshooting purposes anyway... painful.

Depends on if you played the previous games and read the books they're based on. And how you feel about them.

Mind, it really-really is not Skyrim... but eventually, once its patterns start becoming apparent and you start seeing through the glam (and the mods also no longer do it for you) you realise just why video games are such a great but also deadly medium...

Essentially, if something can be made to look and feel as real as possible then the storytelling must not give in in any respect - and TW3's writing at some points makes me cry... such a grand game, but fuck you forgot to polish it???

What i find annoying as FUCK though is that the icons for some of the armors are false advertising. The colors are completely wrong.

Nah, my Triss is with Geralt living the dream in Kovir. If Geralt ends with Yen, I would be glad if Triss found someone to make her happy and Eskel seems like a good and caring guy that would treat her right. Hell, it's not like I don't ship Yen and Istredd getting back together after Geral goes to Kovir with Triss. Both waifus deserve happiness regardless of Geralt :3

Cutey. I loved that part of the books. It's really shows how obsessed Triss is with Geralt, the whole chapter, ever since she arrives at KM. The way she greets Geralt, her internal monologues and it especially becomes obvious during her illness. She was so desperate and lacing self respect she even managed to annoy Yarpen and Ciri. But what we also see that Geralt cares for her deeply as a friend, doing everything he can to help her recover and even during her most pathetic attempts to get fucked by him, he shows he respect to her and tries to turn her down as gently as possible.

Here's a quote:

Yes, and that's the tragedy of book Triss' love life. Besides, there is more to it and I don't think she is important to Geralt only because she was his mistake, he obviously cares for her as a friend. That is clear by the way he treats her during the whole chapter. He invited her to KM to help him deal with Ciri and even though he would go to Yen if their relations were better at that time, it still shows he has trust in Triss as not just anyone would get invited to KM. The fact she told him to go to Yen, knowing they will probably get back together is a display of maturity form her side.

I was quite happy I got that ending. By far the most just. The duchess was a complete idiot. When she gave Geralt the award and Syanna was stood there I was like "that evil bitch should be in chains when out of her cell, why isn't she now, in front of someone she planned to kill no less"

Let's be honest now, the witcher 3 was really-really... childish. Most of the 'darkness' was conveyed through small letters left everywhere by npcs. Too few of those stories were visualised.

The rendition of Polish, Slavic, and Baltic/Finno-Ugric mythology was rather... one-dimensional. Like seen through the eyes of books that were written after Christianisation hit and the stereotypes of "witches" and natural forces as "evil powers" took hold.

Murder in films and video games surprises nor terrifies no one. Was expecting more taboos to be broken desu. Bland.

I don't think I said anything inaccurate, Geralt's next encounter with Triss also goes in line with what I'm saying. They way he embraced her past the usual protocol at Thanedd shows that he has friendly feelings for her and that was after one of the most pathetic displays of lacking self control and self respect on her behalf. Geralt has a soft spot for Triss and even Yennefer gets annoyed by it as we see at Thanedd and in their Rivia fight.

To answer your question, probably, yes, but I do enjoy my Triss a lot.

But on a more serious note, I actually think it's the opposite, I think he doesn't like it at all that Triss harbors that kind of affection toward him, knowing he will never reciprocate the feelings she has(I'm talking about the books only). You can tell when Yarpen asks him who is that woman to him, you can see by the way he reacts to her hug at KM and in her attempts at his dick. I think he genuinely just likes Triss, but not like she would have wanted and doesn't want to hurt her but she makes that hard sometimes.

Roche was never a friend of Geralt's. Never played him so, so no problem letting him slay them. But desu, I usually end up breaking Dijkstra's leg.

Also... horrible ending is actually rather befitting. We (Geralt) does not know that Ciri is dead... he believes so. But based on all he does not know. And the ending epilogue is as inconclusive.

HOS was boring. Twardowski/Faust/DEVIL as a Christian devil-figure has been retold too many times over. Even the dilemma with Olgierd is not too complicated - the way he treated Iris just immediately made it clear how that ending is going... O'Dimm's a caricature.

I think it would have been cool if in the dark ending rather than a cutscene, we get to play as Geralt fighting endless waves of Drowners, ghouls, rotfiends etc until you succumb (no potions, just sword and spells) like at the end of Halo Reach.

Fuck that, the "Bad Ending" is the best executed one in the series.

Well, I'm glad you like them, I made a bunch over time and will keep making new ones. I got addicted to it, especially now that I discovered the Storyboard UI mod that allows me to make a shit tone of stuff I never could before.

I too enjoy how the eyeliner emphasizes her eyes and it's a nice little mod I got accustomed to.

Of course Triss is smart, she managed to secure a nice position for herself and she keeps outsmarting the witch hunters and saving many people in front of their eyes. She is also a well educated sorceress and although I wouldn't rank her as the smartest one, she is definitely a smart lady overall.

It also mentions her having some business to take care of in Beauclair like they might have originally meant for her to be in B&W. That said, the reference is phrased in such a way that unless you knew about the books you'd have no idea what Fringilla was talking about in regards to Emhyr's "less savory" desires for her.

Yeah, I partially agree with that, although I would put her slightly above and I don't think she fell into the mediocrity considering her status in the world. Most mages and sorceress don't rank up that high. She is maybe lacking compared to some of her Lodge colleagues, but she is still quite above the average.
