I wished I left tokyo drift as it was, being one of my favorite movies. Watched it again last year and was like "what the fuck even is this movie". Dude who looks 25 is apparently in high school and overall was meh. Also I hate that they kept Han in most of the movies after Tokyo Drift. Technically Tokyo Drift took place in like 2014. So the rich jap is driving a 2005 350z in 2014? Really?
However I still love drifting and every car that was in the movie.

and as a high school aged kid who got that and need for speed it was obvious i would get into cars

It actually felt like it was about cars and driving, had the same feel as the original but with new characters in a new location
After that it just turned into heists with CUHRAZEE car chases

Basically it's like Need for Speed vs GTA circa 2005 for a car guy, the answer is pretty obvious

1 is the best simply for being the one that caught lightning in a bottle, so to speak. It was the perfect mix of action movie, exaggerated physics and enough subculture focus to keep the ricers and the knowing car guys engaged.

2 took the ricer absurdity to the next level, but is still good because of how obviously tongue in cheek it is.

3 Looks like the work of a bunch of script writers who couldn't think of anything but were under a deadline. The only saving grace being the redneck charm of the central character and the idea of him dominating street racing in Tokyo.......... especially a mountain pass drift race......... in a 60s mustang with 22 inch rims.

4 is a tragedy to be forgotten

5,6,7 took the focus away from street racing absurdity and expanded on the heist subplot, bu still retained all of the fun FnF extremes.

TL:DR; 1,2,5,6, 7 = 3 , 4
