What's the TRUE spiritual successor to this beast? K11 Micra? SportKa? Cinquecento?

Perodua Nippa

Toyota Starlet

...Twingo?

The Mini Cooper still exists.

Kerb weight
1,182 kg (2,605 lb) (Cooper)
1,250 kg (2,760 lb) (Cooper S)

No

no it doesn't

corolla ae92

That's a sedan being compared to a coupe.

>coupe
wat?

I guess technically the old mini is a coupe?
The boot is separate to the passenger compartment

i'd say this but twingo doesn't win shit has hard as mini.

What does the successor need to be spiritual successor?
Is drive layout important?
Is racing pedigree important?
Is the looks important?
Is the size important?
or is the whole idea of an anemic underdog beating muscle cars important?
can't answer OP before we answer this

This is more accurate

He said SPIRITUAL successor, not DIRECT successor, you nimrod.

Besides, I don't think anything really succeeded the original Mini because by modern standards, circa 2000, the Mini was crap. Small, cramped, under-powered and as safe as driving in a loaf of bread.

the Civic

cheap
lightweight
fwd
large cultural significance
huge following
raced often
highly modifiable

You'll be saying that the MG MGB was succeeded by the Miata next...

the Miata is literally a spiritual successor to nearly all of the British roadsters

Not really, only the Lotus Elan

hardly a coupe, I has full size rear seating,
shame that isn't a gen1 bmw mini, it was smaller than current
>for being inexpensive
dacia sandero
>winning stuff
focus?
>handling
ford ka
>being fashionable
nu mini or nu 500
>total units sold
Toyota corolla
>practicality
????

>not really, only this car that is fundamentally the same in every way
you just went full dummy

This, but I would say CRX instead of civic, because it was the real sporty one

The mini was never intended to look sporty, which is the whole point of the CRX.

CRX isn't exactly a fast looking car

Why do you use the name of a mesopotamian king to describe someone user?

In that trim (kei spec), it is pretty comparable to the classic mini. Unfortunately they don't sell them in that trim in my country either. My gf has an older one with a 1L 3 cyl and it is a great little runabout.

Also it's partially British-made, am I correct?
