Why are countries closest to the equator so shit?

Why are countries closest to the equator so shit?

Conversely, why do temperate/cool conditions always thrive best?

Read Guns, Germs and Steel

The genetic results of those environments create the people better at civilization.

Why do all civilizations come from the subtropics then?

Examples?

I'd imagine because there was more competitive atmosphere with harsh winters, forcing people to band together and innovate better shelter and such.

I assume he means Mesopotamia and the Indus valley, but Mesopotamia is barely bordering it, so I'm going with the latter. Weird though, cause they kinda died.

It won't be like that anymore in 50 years, so don't worry.

But that all happened in the tropical areas though.

it's too hot

whereas being in the temperate zone is a lot better

This.

Tropical people are happier though.

Civilization is optimized for more temperate climates.

My guess is that in temperate climates population growth is balanced by lack of reasources which encourages technical inovation in order to maximise those reasources and that creates specialisation and large societies.
Whereas tropical areas have a natural surplus of essential reasources but growth is balanced by disease so less need for innovation and dense population is discouraged by disease.

Somewhat true.

A lot of African empires were quite dispersed, even African countries, such as Namibia are often quite spacious in architecture.

>Le no harsh environments in the Tropics!
In Southeast Asia, even the most tribalniggerest of the tribalnigger practiced agriculture and banded into tribal clannish states & confederacies.

In addition, SEAsians are worst off because unlike Wintercunts, our bad times - the Monsoons- are superfucking random. You can have whole years of no violent storms and suddenly comes a fucked up typhoon that wrecks everything and drowns your crops.

Stopped reading there.

You have to be over 18 to post here, lad.

people huddle together to stay warm in cold temperatures
this leads to very high population densities in cold areas, which is one of the essential building blocks of western civilization
people living in warmer areas don't have to huddle together for warmth, so they're more spread out and have a lower population density

...

Actually if you look at history it was the subtropical areas that developed early civilization and the it spread north into the temperate and cold ones.
Later the temperate countries colonized the tropical and equatorial lands.

It was
Subtropical - Temperate/Cold - Tropical/Equatorial

>genetic results

Yes, but Sumerians were Aryans (Indo-Europeans), so it's still from temperate peoples.

>Sumerians were Aryans (Indo-Europeans)
The origin of the Sumerians is still disputed

Exactly why they got the fuck out of shitty dodge while they could, and all the chaff stayed behind to fuck into obscruity and unintelligence.

And even if your premise is correct, the civilization developed in the Fertile Crescent not in central Asia.

>What are tropical diseases, droughts, monsoons and tropical storms

>It's a "correlation implies causation" episode"

Great fucking detective work Einstein, you must have spent half your life studying this subject in order to have come up with such a genius theory.

Except it doesn't explain why all the major native american civilizations were in the tropics, why Greece, Rome, Egypt and the middle east all had sprawling civilizations while northern europe was full of barbarians who never made any contribution to civilization until 1000 years later

That would certainly explain why Eskimos are the most powerful race in the world.

>read pop pseudo science

no thanks

>higher heat on your ballsack makes you infertile
That explains why african birth rates are the lowest in the world.

We can see examples of this today in the Inuit cultures, widely known as having densest cities of any human culture due to their harsh winters.
