What the fuck was his endgame? Summoning Ose for kicks? Pretty sure there are more productive ways of getting the dick than killing all the dude's friends and calling forth giant monsters to destroy the city

How come Kaneko stopped drawing thicc juicy thighs? Not that I mind the slim look, but since every chaaracter had more or less the same figure it just seems kinda odd.
Brayden Bell
But I want to play a GOOD game with Hatsune Miku.
Elijah Hall

Cameron Stewart
DeSu 3
And a decent story.
Caleb Young
Its a Persona 1 Remake
Kevin Morris
I'd like a remake for any of the previous mainline games besides Nocturne. It'll probably be another game for the IV saga, maybe just the complete package of a Maniax IV and Maniax Apoc.
Wyatt Bennett
DemiTeens
Jonathan Cook
>Inb4 its a nocturne port with updated demon rooster.
Jace Miller
Please be a new franchise.
I'd like to have a lighthearted spin-off about the mascot megaten demons a la Pokemon Mystery Dungeon but with good gameplay obviously.
Andrew Diaz
>It'll probably be another game for the IV saga
Then why the fuck Apocalypse was named Final in Japan? They even specified that it'll be the last game set in IV universe.
Cameron Stewart
Get ready for SMT:IV LAST

William Bell
It didn't have demons? The fuck were the enemies then
Julian Davis
>reeeee I h8 anime
lmao okay dude The localization was by far #FE's biggest issue.
Nolan Price
Why idols?
Hunter Wood
Because Love Live and Idolm@ster are making bank right now.
Angel Barnes
Then why Macross Delta failed so much?
Ian Jones
What do they have to do with either series though?
Grayson Bell
Because copying something successful always works right? That's why all those Call of Duty clones are so profitable.
Brayden Jackson
Porn, because there's literally no other appeal to idols. Not music, can't dance, fake personalities that are more like tropes, get jobs by sleeping around because there's no other prerequisites, etc.
Michael Rivera
Are they really? The market is saturated with clones, but do people really bother in buying them? Call of Duty's only real competition are the other recent Call of Duty games Did #FE sell anywhere near well enough to warrant a spot in the 2D idol podium?
>Are they really? They aren't. I was being sarcastic.
Chase Bennett
Alright, it's harder to pick up on that with no body language or tone of speech to go off on.
Nathaniel Kelly
can someone tell me the name of that demon thats just a mosquito dude in a suit with a tommy gun
Jaxon Wood
Celebrate. #FE got the best combat in years, and mainline is about moeshit since Final anyway.
Josiah Martin
Because idols sing, dance, and act, which was how people worshiped deities in ancient times. Gods, demons, etc. would gain power from that. The mirages in TMS#FE feed on that as well.
Carson Price
This. I can't believe people here can unironically defend Apocalypse and hate TMS at the same time.
Jason Lewis
Nah I hate both. (TMS for idols mainly.) And I am sure there are plenty of others who feel the same.
I like weebshit and anime, but keep it out of mainline. Persona is for weebshit.
Brayden Perez
basically shadows
Kevin Perry
Mirages. Some of them are named after demons though.

SMT4 gets a lot of shit here and other places (much of it deserved) but I wanted to praise it for something that most series fans wouldn't have experienced.
SMT4 was my first megaten. I knew nothing about it at all or the series. The devs took a great deal of care in working up the samurai's entrance to Tokyo as a plot twist.
There are hints throughout the first hours of the game when you're in Mikado; anachronisms here and there, and the Gauntlet UI is clearly modern. I knew something was off about the technology, 'mystic script', etc... but it was teased well enough that I couldn't really figure it out. Naraku is the entrance to the underworld and the 'Unclean Ones' Country' which I took at face value to mean hell in a traditional sense.
Even going down the Sky Tower where the samurai find a gun and construction equipment is present, it's tastefully hidden what's coming next.
Once I beat Medusa and the samurai got to look out on that glowing vista, it flashes the skyline and plays that haunting track with the distorted gongs, it's finally revealed that what I thought was hell or the underworld was actually modern day Tokyo. You realize that the samurai and Mikado are the real foreign, strange entity in the world, not the anachronistic technology of Tokyo.
They did a fantastic job of telling the beginning of the story from Mikado's perspective. For me it was a MGS-tier twist, but I can't imagine it wasn't blunted for series fans who know Tokyo is in the picture and probably followed the game's development.
It's a facet of the game that deserves more praise than it gets, especially since the game's storytelling is not terribly great on the whole.
Nathan Jenkins
it was announced as smt x fire emblem which got people hyped up but they didn't expect it would be full of idols
Carter King
Fuck my life. First turn against Babel he hits my Main Character 9 times with Holy Dance to end the match before I can move >Calamity of Babel >Game Over

>insightful analysis gets disregarded and shitposted
Suddenly /r/megaten doesn't look so bad in comparison.
