Not exactly a racing game, even though you are able to take part in a rally. An amazing game though.

Has us cars on Japanese roads.

My Autumn Motorcycle

Underground 1, Underground 2, Most Wanted 2005, Carbon. Literally top tier games in NFS franchise.

I think OP wants something more like ProStreet though.

Need for Speed Shift 2

>no hot pursuit 2
>no high stakes
These are literally the two best games in the franchise.

He literally said "I don't like games that give you race cars"

My Spring Truck

I mean, it's not really a racing game, but it's fun as fuck

i have so many memories of that game, those jews at EA shut it down

>He literally said "I don't like games that give you race cars"

Not the other user, while Shift 1 and 2 may contain race cars, both allow you to modify and race shit boxes in greater detail than most games.

They were great for their time. Unfortunately, they havent aged as well as those mentioned in the post you quoted.

My Fall Mistake

My Daily Commuter

how do I do that game IRL? all the used beater cars around here are either rusted out or crossovers
fuck livving in the USA

Shift 2 Unleashed is my favourite NFS along with Porsche Unleased. Wide selection of cars, pretty detailed tuning, which shows in the interior too, and good balance between arcade and simulator.

Also, good engine noises. I don't know why even the newest games have such shitty, synthetic sounding engines.

>fuck living in the USA
You can get almost any car in the US stop bitching Jesus Christ

The Crew has ok-ish customisation but I wouldn't really call it a good racing game. The sense of scale is incredible but the car handling feels really weird no matter how many times you fiddle with the settings.

nfs world was so fucking fuck dammit

hence I said rusted out
although if i move over to the LA area that would change
