Most of the content is done as a single player experience anyways, how would bot fuck that up?

Man I've played D2 for over 10 years and bots didnt ruin the game. They even created baalruns and made highrunes actually obtainable for a while. I'm not saying bots are a good thing, just that in an arpg (and not a mmo), having access to more items simply increase what you can do.

Plenty of things actually. I'm not against asynchronous trading or cross-instance trading, which GGG has expressed the desire to implement in the past, something like being able to trade while you're in map or doing lab, but bidless buyouts is an entirely different matter and it takes someone very naive to think it wouldn't radically change the game for the worse.

Trading has to be balanced around playing. If one becomes too easy, the other loses its meaning. Trading is already too easy, in a sense. Which leads to a dissatisfying negative feedback loop where you feel like you're wasting your time trying to actually play the game instead of playing the market. Note that something hard does NOT mean time consuming or tedious, which poe.trade currently is with 50% of traders being afk/offline/"Sorry sold"
