VQ35's burn oil, period. However, the rev-up engines are notoriously bad for it and I would be weary of any car with a rev-up engine that wasn't replaced as part of the recall. This applies to G35's as well.

Very reliable cars though otherwise, there are flaws with the 03-04's though, I worked at an Infiniti dealer for a while and ended up buying an 03 G35 sedan while I could take advantage of dat employee discount. $40/hr labor for quality tech's doing the work and parts were cost+10%

I bought the car with 190k km's and am at 219k now, the only unscheduled part I have had to replace was a starter that died on me, other then that just maintenance

Here's a stupid fucking spreadsheet I made that showcase power/weight/cost for a bunch of new cars. Literally means nothing cause most people here would be buying used as well as there is a lot more to a car than power. Anyways the 370z does pretty well for the cost. Even more irrelevant as the OP is regarding a 350z.
