Honestly I think the difference is Lucina is mostly propelled by normie votes. I don't see nearly as much support for her in the core community as I do Lyn. Lyn seems like the only person old fans and GBA fans can agree to vote on, I've even seen plenty of Tellius fans lend their vote to her too.
I think it's just a matter of not wanting a modern character to win for most people, hence the Lyn vote.
I am surprised Camilla isn't top three though, I was wrong there.

Is there any kind of rule of thumb for deciding whether to reclass a unit or what class you should promote that unit to in Awakening? I'm having a hard time deciding what I want to do with my units.
