Who is your favorite president and why?

Who is your favorite president and why?

They're all trash

but Teddy

pic
muh national parks
panama canal is ok too ig

...

Gerald Ford. He didn't fuck everything and change stuff like all the presidents people will no doubt praise.
>Kennedy deserved to get shot
>So did his brother
>Teddy Roosevelt should've been shot again
>Reagan should've been shot again
>FDR should've died sooner from polio

All these presidents are just contrarian faggots who modern day people idolize for no reason other then they were changed stuff for good or for worse.

His Divine Majesty, Donald I, Builder of the Wall, Conqueror of the Mohammedans, Bringer of Peace, and Father of the Empire.

Madison

>author of the constitution and the bill of rights
>buddies with Tommy Jeff
>hated that cocksucker Hamilton
>let Jackson off his leash so he could buttfuck Brits, Seminoles and Spaniards, a policy continued by his successors

>Hamilton
>not the only reason the US wasn't sunk by an English commodity blitz on its nascent manufactures industry

ho hum

>collapsed fledgling American industry for over a decade anyways
>people look it him as a God despite this
Fucking wew

I would think that a change for good WOULD be a good thing. There is a point where being so conservative is detrimental.

"And to preserve their independence, we must not let our rulers load us with perpetual debt." -Jefferson. Debt can be a good thing, as Hamilton argued for, but I don't think he imagined what it is like today.

...

Jefferson did not mean that God should be left out of politics entirely, rather he abhorred the situation in England, where taxes had to be paid to the Anglican Church or else. And the Church had immense power and sway in politics.

Andrew Jackson

FDR. He gave us our first taste of socialism (although now we desperately need more)

>Resolved, that it be recommended to the several states to appoint THURSDAY the 9th of December next, to be a day of publick and solemn THANKSGIVING to Almighty God, for his mercies, and of PRAYER, for the continuance of his favour and protection to these United States; to beseech him that he would be graciously pleased to influence our publick Councils, and bless them with wisdom from on high, with unanimity, firmness and success; that he would go forth with our hosts and crown our arms with victory; that he would grant to his church, the plentiful effusions of divine grace, and pour out his holy spirit on all Ministers of the gospel; that he would bless and prosper the means of education, and spread the light of christian knowledge through the remotest corners of the earth; that he would smile upon the labours of his people, and cause the earth to bring forth her fruits in abundance, that we may with gratitude and gladness enjoy them; that he would take into his holy protection, our illustrious ally, give him victory over his enemies, and render him finally great, as the father of his people, and the protector of the rights of mankind; that he would graciously be pleased to turn the hearts of our enemies, and to dispence the blessings of peace to contending nations.
>Thomas Jefferson. Governor of Virginia

There's a helicopter waiting to pick you up sir

I like Ike.

Lincoln
Dude didnt give a single fuck about the constitution and did whatever he wanted. Literally the best application of the great man theory because no other president has even come close to being as balls to the wall fearless as he was.
Least favorite president
Jefferson. He was a fucking moron.

are you suggesting that government shouldn't constantly be dictated by strict application of an 18th century scrap of paper?

>likes Lincoln because he used the constitution as an example of what he wasn't allowed to and everything else was free game
>hates Jefferson even though he was the first President to echo that sentiment
You should be shot.

Eisenhower

>fought Nazis
>pals with MLK
>shit talked McArthur

muh nigga

Hamilton and Wilson

Coolidge

Also, meme incoming
>Teddy

Because he's caused so much dissent that it might bring on a long-awaited revolution

this

i also want hillary to win because i know she'll start WWIII with Russia

He hasn't caused anymore dissent than your average president. The only reason it seems like it is because shitposting has moved from Zines to the Internet.

I want Trump. He'll at least be entertaining like Bush was.

Third for Teddy. Motherfucker was boss

Underageb&

People need to stop conflating Teddy the man with Teddy the President. He grew the federal government beyond its stated scope.

Lyndon Baines Johnson

>born into rural poverty, climbed to the top by tireless ambition (dude was an insane workaholic)
>actually gave half a shit about poor people and minorities
>taught a poor hispanic one-room schoolhouse for a year after college, stayed an extra hour or two every day to teach the janitor english, free of charge, because he actually gave that much of a damn about that community's plight
>as a congressman's assistant, did more of the work than the congressman himself
>as a congressman, brought electricity and modern irrigation to the texas hill country
>won a senate seat by out-cheating a notorious cheater
>became arguably the most effective senate majority leader of all time; knew just about everything about the other 99 senators and exploited that to get their vote
>as prez: civil rights act, voting rights act, medicare/medicaid, several "great society" anti-poverty programs, improved funding for education in poor districts, environmental legislation, ended outdated immigration quotas
>all this in five years, while also dealing with the vietnam war (his fatal mistake that hindered his ambitious domestic agenda)
>literally showed off his dick to lots of people, called it "jumbo" (best dick name ever)
>was actually a weakling who couldn't fight for shit, but managed to intimidate the fuck out of people anyways ("the treatment")
>so self-absorbed that at parties he'd literally take a nap when he was no longer the center of attention
>years-long affair with the smokin' hot wife of one of his main patrons
>owned an amphicar, pranked unsuspecting passengers by driving straight into a lake

(1/2)

(2/2)

He was such a callous piece of shit, willing to go to the depths of dishonesty to get shit done - but the shit he wanted to get done was actually well-intentioned and altruistic. He sincerely believed that the government could do great things for the poor and downtrodden, and he used any means necessary to enact the most ambitious domestic agenda since the New Deal. LBJ was the ultimate embodiment of the word "pragmatism". Of course, much of his work was motivated by a desire to be remembered as one of the GOAT presidents, which ironically also motivated him to continue escalating the Vietnam War, as he didn't want to be remembered as the president who let the commies win. In that respect, LBJ was the perfect Shakespearian tragic hero - his life was a rise to power followed by a fall from grace, and in the end he died in disgrace.

Pleb answer, but the plebs aren't always wrong.

Didn't the 1965 Immigration Act set up the demographic disaster that we call America right now?

You obviously don't live in an area with a high Hispanic population, otherwise you'd realize that they're integrating into American culture just as easily as the European immigrants who preceded them.

...

Hey man, I'm not against immigration completely.
I just think it should be done in such a way so we get only the smartest and richest.

Also how does integration and "WE WILL RECONQUISTA THE SOUTH GRINGO" go together, or maybe I just see too much of those and too little of the others.

doesnt change the fact that america is gonna become non-white tho

From what I have read so far (of which I find rather limited and sad because I want more) Calvin Coolidge has been growing on me.

Theodore Roosevelt as a man is pretty much my ideal character but as president I differ from him.

So that immigrants take high-skill jobs and the brain drain on other countries is exacerbated? The benefit to our current immigration system is that it brings in low-skill workers who accept shit wages, enabling the national economy to be more productive for less, and indirectly allowing native-born Americans to move into better-paying service jobs. This is what happened when we brought in lots of Irish, what happened when we brought in Italians and Slavs, and what's happening now with Hispanics.
The fuck does that matter? Race doesn't mean shit - maybe culture does, but historically, the descendants of immigrants to the U.S. have always embraced Anglo-American culture far more than that of their ancestors. Growing up in Texas, most third-generation Hispanics I knew could barely speak Spanish. Also, Hispanics are usually around ~50% European, and I wouldn't call that "non-white".

he tried to save us from The Patriots

Wouldn't that screw over the Middle and Low class?
Also race does have a big impact, you can't ignore that.

Assimilation is also seen as a pretty bullshit thing by modern society, so you can't guarantee that there will be assimilation.

Based John Adams for me

The guy single handedly worsened race relations in the US by constantly taking the nig's side.

The epithet of King Nigger is well deserved

Not even trolling

It's funny how there is more race riots under the first black President than the last 7 white ones.

>Also how does integration and "WE WILL RECONQUISTA THE SOUTH GRINGO" go together
Worst thing that Mexicans actually do is still root for Mexico in the WC. Mexicans integrate far better than they're given credit for. They don't organize rape-fests like Syrians do in Cologne.

>The guy single handedly worsened race relations
Black Panthers called, they told you to shut the fuck up.

>single handedly
>replies with a GROUP
Really made me think...

That's why I like John Tyler. Literally became president by telling everyone he was and set lasting precedent. He also annexed Texas against his own cabinet's wishes.

he was actually a pretty decent president. If he never did Watergate (which in my opinion he never needed too) he probably would be looked at as one of the best modern presidents of the late 20th century

Andrew Jackson

Between the Pirates, the banking, the hair, the beatings. Who couldn't. He's on the cold hard 20.

Thanks based president Jackson.

Memes aside, Teddy was actually top tier. Polk is another great and is pretty underappreciated IMO.

You're voting for trump, aren't you?

...

Bush for 21st century
Reagan for 20th century
Jackson for 19th century
Washington for 18th century

this

awful list of mostly awful presidents

Yeah those internment camps were really socialist

I've also been favouring Ford recently. An extremely underrated president.

>itt: people's favorite tyrants
