The cages are extremely tight fit, so the radio will not shift around. The cage has two locking flanges on the sides that clamp down on the radio to keep it in place.
Those tiny flanges you see on the top and bottom are made to be bent outwards to keep the cage in place.

If the security code for that OEM head unit was set by the previous owner, then that head unit doesn't work in your car unless you enter that security code.
So make sure the seller warrants in writing it works and has no security code set.
