Turd gen or foxbody?

Miata

I was thinking about it, but I'd like something with a little more power. I also don't really care for convertibles/roadsters.

bump

I know this is gonna sound weird when you just said you want more power, but a fiero. You can get ones in fairly decent condition for around 2-3 grand

Looks pretty fun. I'll see what I can find in my area. I'll be talking to a guy later today who's selling a Nissan Z31, so I may buy that if I like it enough.

Yeah, and just remember to not rush into something. If it is really clean and its obvious other people are looking at it then maybe, but often times the seller can push you into an old car full of problems. Otherwise, I hope it looked good! Love the looks of the Z31.

BMW 3 series.

Not really what I'm looking for. Too luxurious. Not rough enough around the edges you know?

z3

I don't want a bmw... or a convertible. Plus my buddy's z3 fucking sucked ass.

>Too luxurious
nigga, the 80's 3-series were simple as shit. the only thing luxurious about them were the leather seats.

i bought one for 2500 thing runs great.

I'll pass

Civic, golf/rabbit, 323/probe, escort, all come to mind

would you consider a truck? a 351 in a ranger or a SBC in an S-10 would be fairly inexpensive and simple.

No
I'm wanting a coupe/sports car. I already have a truck I'm satisfied with.

Corollas have a decent aftermarket.

Yeah but all the GTS models are overpriced on my area. Looks like a fun car otherwise.

you've already knocked out most of the RWD options. unless you want to go MURRICA MUSCLE STRONK, your options are FWD jap boxes.

i know what you are looking for my man, and i cringed at the idea of me driving a bimmer or miata, but those really are the primary cars of choice. if you want something else, you are going to be paying out the ass for hard to find parts.

like, the Datsun 500 series would probably be great for you, but goddamn if your wallet isn't going to get raped.

>GTS
Kill yourself.

I think I'm probably going to buy this Z31 if it seems like it runs good enough. It's pretty much exactly what I'm wanting.

Preferably anything gen 6 and after. Gen 5 and below are usually what people keep stock and are purists about it, so you'll catch a lot of autism if you fuck one up.

Alternatively, find a particularly beater gen 5 swap the engine (maybe tranny) and restore it to mostly stock.

ayyy future possible z31 owner

test drive it, make sure it holds temps.
drive it hard a little, check for vacuum leaks,

If its a turbo, hear for the turbo to spool, make sure its healthy. Check for rust EVERYWHERE, in the hatch, doors, T tops, in the fenders, under the hood.

The paint looks amazing on that one, the wheels also look really nice

Mr2 is what I'm going for

Get a fox or preferably a f body
