This is another reason why i personally think the ring is shit. its fun as hell to drive on but its shit for measuring the performance of cars. doesn't help that it cost a shit-ton of money to rent the ring, hire a driver, and barrow 2 cars (1 for the run and a backup in case you crash it). most ring times will ultimately come down to who's willing to spend the most money on a driver and time to get the most runs possible and even then, the pro driver could fuck up a shift or hit the rev limiter as i've seen them do because they're human and the whole lap has been made a shit of and they just say "eh good enough" and from there they might not even bother going further because they will have been exhausted.
