That gem is literally just a meme. Only good gems are quartz gems. They are BIG & THICC

It does slightly more damage than Shadowburn if you have equal amount of Shadow/Fire bonus damage.
It's not comparable to Shadowbolt as that is a long casted spell with a higher coefficient on spelldamage.

There's lots of people questing in every area, the only real downside is that occasionally 60 autismlords come through to gank and spam /spit macros after their guildie is killed.
