Does anyone know any good meeting spots?

Vatozone?

These are the nearest ones it's showing.

So far 1-2 PM is winning.

autozone is dumb

find a public park that can accomodate 20 cars or so. if not just the end of a walmart parking lot

There's actually a park relatively near Medina.

Not bad, but I have a feeling more people are coming than they're letting on, so we need more participation.

So I've got it down for 2 hours, 130 miles.

Google Maps changes the route slightly when I elect to avoid tolls, does anyone know if there are any tolls out there, or is maps being retarded? I don't see why there would be.

This link should work:

I don't think anyone's bringing food, or wants anyone else to, so anyone know places nearby to eat?

Confirmed link works on mobile.

>This route is mainly very twisty passing over large hills and between not many gas stations. This roller coaster ride will no doubt blow you away. The road is not heavily traveled, but beware as sharp turns have certainly taken many down. Also, although the surface is mostly in very good condition, always watch for loose gravel, deer and slow moving locals heading back to their ranch ... often a much slower pace than we're zippin by at.

>This route isn't going to be know for its "Roadside Amenities" as much as it is known for its scenery and road quality. There are some very nice pull-outs, stop and enjoy the long vistas. Gas up in Leakey as there are not too many gas stations to choose from and where there is a very good motorcycle shop. For a refreshing summertime swimming hole try the Frio River. Note: Hwy 16 between Kerrville and Bandera is not for beginners! Due to recent accidents, weekend police patrol has increased a great deal. Hwy 173 may be a better route between Kerrville & Bandera.

The day of the run is expected to be between 48°-72°, sunny, 0% chance of rain. Sunset at 6:30 PM.

I'd be up for a sit-down Mexican restaurant. Don't know any in that area though.

There seems to be a few around Bandera.

Gas stations are practically non-existent along the route, so be sure to fuel up either in Bandera or Leakey.

Yo hold up. I aint no Johny Tran.

>has S2K
>attends race wars
>100 grand under the hood

Too soon, Junior.

at best i have like 38 grand under my hood. Wana lend me some more and help out?

Whatchu tryna get done?

well ive blown 2 f20c motors now. I redid my AC system. I replaced the transmission and clutch 10k miles ago....

nothing super fancy but basic stuff.

>well ive blown 2 f20c motors now

This seems to be a common theme with S2Ks.

Only if you really push the engine and do stupid things... though it doesn't explain all my failures.

first one threw a rod for no reason (that i or 3 other mechanics could tell). I still have the block. Its been 3 years since that rod few out and the only thing ive ever found that might be right was water was in the cylinder but that doesnt make since seeing as the car had been sitting in a garage for 3 days before.

Second dropped a valve on the track at 9500rpm cause WHOOPS mechanical over rev. Purely my fault even though i had done the ap2 retainers that "should' protect to 10k over revs.

I know plenty of S2k's who track with 150k+ miles.

>overrevving on the world's most strung out engine

fug

I have an 11.7 head instead of a US spec 11.0 right now. Makes more power but god help me if i ever over rev and get valve float.

Are you going to the Texas meet? Know anyone else who's going?

i only just found out about it when i posted. Probably not.

Well you posted when you posted that picture which was a while ago.

that picture is almost 4 years old man...

Though 3 days out, I'm worried about participation. Only about a dozen or so people have posted interest, I think the problem is the thread isn't getting enough exposure, or word hasn't gotten out. 72 hours to at least get a roll call.

There just aren't that many of us. Ever since I have been going to DFW meets the most one meet ever had was 7, but that was March of 2015. Since then its usually its only 3-4 of us. Also some people might not want to drive 4+ hours to meet with a bunch of autists.

Have fun anons. Wish I could be there. Next time.

I did enjoy that one meet we had in austin that one time with the 300zx that crashed into the wall.

But I mean, if you're doing a "state" meet, I would figure a neutral ground would be the most balanced proposal, it's not really close to anyone, and I would think if anyone knows the meaning of traveling great distances, it's the largest state in the 48.

nyoro~n

How many Night Wave boys going?

Don't know yet. At least 2.

I can't make this meet, but I will definitely shoot for the next one. When/where do you think the next one will be?

Depends on what we end up agreeing on at the meet. Hopefully one where the date works for everybody.

At least 10 of them were interested, but the date just didn't end up working out for most schedules.

I'm thinking about going, but my car's in such shit condition I don't know if it'd be realistically better for me to ride passenger with someone. No backup car.

Same case for me, just need to make sure it's running properly this weekend before leaving.
The fuel cost will be a bit high but I haven't been outside the city in a while anyways. It's a three hour trip from Houston which is not so bad.

Anybody going to the All Team Bash in San Antonio? It usually gets pretty lit I'm coming from south texas with some friends to check it out

When?

4/23

Daily Zello reminder.

Only 7? Wow. The smallest Houston meet on record is 10. There has to be at least 10 of us for state. But no matter big or small, it'll work well.

So far it seems like Bandera Park at 2 PM (though some seem to want 5 PM), and a Mexican restaurant either before or after the park, but before the run.

Also, bring cameras, dash cams, and take pics, videos, thread material.

Get the hype flowing, ask anyone you think may be interested. Passengers count.

Also, Texas meet chapter(s) will be part of Night Wave: Final Reality documentary.

April? Sheit, prolly.

>still only 6

Someone's not doing their job, fucking join that shit whether you're going or not, you can listen in.

Set the interruption window to 10 seconds, so if anyone takes longer than 10 seconds to say something, they can be overriden.

We have around five people coming in from Houston, no way there are only 7 people in total.

Fucking lurkers, I swear.

Every time.

>texas

I could be wrong, but there may be some hints that you have to pay to go to Bandera Park, can anyone confirm this?

>tripping as anonymous

There's Mansfield Park and Hill Country State Park if that doesn't work out.

>page 3

Not on my watch.

Does anyone have a passenger seat open in case I can't make it on my own?

what city?

Houston. Though I wouldn't mind leaving my car in Bandera, as I know it can make it to the starting point, but I don't trust it once we start running hard on more demanding roads.

what will you bring as compensation?

split the bill on gas and you'll be alright with me

the succ

Now maybe I'm just counting wrong, but which are the 3 Sisters? By my count there's 5 stretches.

...

335, 336, and 337 are officially the 3.

ridetexas.com/the-twisted-sisters/

>8 on zello

not bad, now we're geting somewhere

boom

So does 2 PM work for everyone, or should we move it to 4?

How long do we estimate we will spend time on the route?

not idea about route time but itll take me 3 hours to get their according to maps.

130 miles of twisty roads, can't be too fast on those, may take 2 hours or more

Oh my god, really?

what do you expect
how fast can we go here 40? 50?
a lot of the roads are going to be like that

if we are doing 60mph on average it will take us more than 2 hours maybe even 3, easily

>what do you expect

For people to read the thread they're posting in. Unfathomable, I know.

>speed limits meaning anything

Unless it's a 90° turn, we're going to be going above the posted speeds.

Houston here, getting between 3 hrs 30 mins to 4 hours.

>doesnt check image
stop posting

>hasn't driven those roads before

You first.

correct, leaving from houston if i go.
>obviously drives a mustang

Houston fags, we will depart from Night Wave Headquarters at 10:00 A.M. should get there between 1P.M. and 2P.M.

Has the final meeting spot been finalized yet?
Bandera City Park?

I'll bring some extra things such as oil, coolant, air compressor, and some extra battery packs for phone charging.

>nitwit hq

ye, ok

>From March through October, weekend entry fees for City Park are $5 per person

But this is in February, so .....? It's free ...? ?? ???? ?????

Well there is still time to decide, if nobody has anything against it then Bandera City Park it is.
