What are some of the best sports cars you can get for around $10000 that still works somewhat as a daily driver?

What are some of the best sports cars you can get for around $10000 that still works somewhat as a daily driver?

A loaded late model 986 would probably be my pick.
>MR layout
>2.7l flat-6
>decently comfortable
>good handling
>2 trunks

Only downside is having to put up with people calling you out for driving a girl car.

RSX
Civic SI/Type R
Moostang

It's a shame your budget is 10k cuz that restricts you to pretty much only 2000s cars.
2000s were a god awful decade for cars compared to 1990s or 2010s.

well dunno where the guy is from, but in bulgaria you can get a '08 Type R for about $7-8k. are those shit?

The euro version is worse than its predecessor.

They're not bad but relative to other Type Rs they're not exactly outstanding
At least you yuropoors have a pretty good selection of hot hatches from the 2000s, murrika only really have the worst generation Si, the worst generation GTI, and a fucking SVT.

At least the SVT Focus is decent, and you can always get ST or RS bits from yurop.

>pretty good selection of hot hatches from the 2000s

can you please name some that you have in mind?

All the good versions of the cars from Ford and Honda, plus Renault and Peugeot shit.

inferior handling
looks like a giant bug

for 10k you can probably find an S so you get the 3.2. I would look for 2001 and below as they had strong IMS bearings.

For 10k you can get an e34 m5 (mabye). Not a sports car, but very sporty.
Maybe an e46. z3 or z4(maybe)
Benz SLK.
C5 vette
Ford Mustang GT
Saab Viggen or 93 TurboX or 92 aero

in 5 years, what's going to look good for 10k?

>fwd

>Sports car

i'm new to cars so
>inferior handling
cuz it weights more or?
>looks like a giant bug
that's subjective, i like the way it looks

How terrible is the maintenance costs

>cuz it weights more or?
No, they simplified the suspension on that gen compared to the earlier ones.

350z

Are you going to work on it yourself?

mr2 mk1/mk2

a mazdaspeed6 if you can still find one in good condition

I'll try, I have basic experience like changing tires/oil

For 10k or under, here's a few:

-Pontiac firebird (finding a manual may be tricky tho)

-Ford Focus SVT

-Mazda MX5/Miata is always a great choice.

-Honda Accord EX V6 (only if it's the manual tho)

-Lexus IS200 or IS250 (mechanical throttle FTW)

-Gen 3 Toyota MR2 (that steering response is godlike)

-Mustang GT (if you don't mind redneck car)

All these are cars from the early 2000's like 00' - 05' and are rather affordable at this point.

I got a completely beat to shit 86 300zx na 5 speed that still runs and drives like a champ even at -20 with no fluid leaks or seal leaks for 1200 bucks... With MUTHAFUCKIN T TOPS NIGGA

2005-09 Legacy GT/Outback XT. They're mechanically identical to an 08-14 WRX, just without the vape tax.

2nd gen Genesis (13+)
C6 Vette?
Previous facelift mustangs
Literally anything dodge/Chrysler
1st or 2nd gen snek if you're lucky
Clapped out supras
the r32/34 imports that would likely be sold as parts cars anyway
Toyotabru twins

I personally prefer the 2003 facelift's styling, and an IMS bearing retrofit is easy as hell on the M96 engine anyway.

downgraded the front suspension to macphersons and fitted digitally assisted steering

Talk to me about the 5th gen mustangs. What's good and bad about them

Mid 00s Mustang GT, coupe v8 blah blah blah. Honestly one of the better vehicles that can be had for under 10k

>4door
>260-280HP stock
>I6 Turbo
>weight of a 2door E36

In about 5 years you Mericunts will be able to have these, that's why I'm acting quick
Sorry for your loss

>ringland blowing lesbianmobiles that weigh hundreds of pounds more than a WRX
>sports car
Holy shit, just stop. Please go drive one and realize how retarded you are.
