Take a turn at like 30 mph in the rain

>take a turn at like 30 mph in the rain
>Understeer parallel into a curb
>Fly over
>Check alignment and it's fine
>Minor scratches on rims and tie rod seems okay

I know I fuckled, but should I get it checked out?
And also let me hear your stories of losing control.

I don't lose control.

Unless someone intentionally bumps me.

Be driving civic in the wet..

Car slips and loses control.

Manage to save it and avoid hitting anything.

Cop car comes around the corner and asks why my car is facing the wrong direction on the opposite side of the road.

I get a fine for wreckless driving even though I wasn't hooning just because I'm young and driving a lowered honda.

Quote from the idiot police officer "The road is damp but it's not wet"

should have told him you were driving like a fuck stick

probably would have given you a warning

been caught multiple times speeding and let off because ive always told them i was being a dumbasss

>Car is '00 Fiesta (FWD shitbox)
>Driving at 50km/h out of a roundabout on a rainy day
>The roundabout exit is a chicane
>Apparently exiting too fast since I'm loosing grip on the rear
>Car starts to oversteer (almost empty tank in the back and weight distribution is around 62% front)
>Countersteer like a madman, car goes sideways on the other side
>Countersteer again and pass the whole exit while """drifting"""
>Car comes straight back again at 30km/h, shift in 2nd gear and leave the place

I just saved my car that in front of everybody.

I wasn't though.

Does OP live in FL?

yea but thats not the point m8

The point is people in FL cant handle anything other than flat, level, and dry roads. Or this kind of idiocy happens.

>driving my civic on to a interstate entrance
>very wet from previous hard rain
>take the sharp turn rated at 25mph at like 40mph because I think It can handle it
>it can't
>actually make it around a decent portion of the long curve upward
>feel steering get loose and car sliding
>panic
>drift left and right like 3 times
>run out of road and can't slow down in time still
>hit the barrier at like 20
>car spins around and is facing the wrong way
>somehow no cars were around at this usually busy entrance
>get out and asses damage
>headlights busted, bumper has a big hole in it, and hood is bent
>peek over barrier
>mfw like a 50ft drop
>if i went through it or over i would've probably died
>move car and drive home

Some how all the damage was cosmetic. I learned a lesson on driving on wet roads that day

>driving 60mph
>truck cuts across my lane making a left turn into a shopping center from opposite side of the road (I hope that made sense)
>Less than 100 feet from him
>Swerve to avoid t-boning him
>Into the dirt
>Spin
>Hit ditch
>Roll

Hurts me every day

>"I'm white the post"

I do, Miami to be exact

>being anything other than white

>driving a lowered CRX

>one of the few icy days in texas
>1994 suburban on old all seasons
>decide to take 20mph 90 degree dogleg at ~35
>lol ice
>start to lose traction
>don't brake
>make it out without fishtailing or crashing
must suck to suck

...

I've been driving 10 years and never once left the pavement unintentionally.

>Be teenager in California
>Have 95' Camaro Z28
>First rain of the season
>Roads are very slick because of this
>Fuck around and see if I can spin tires in 4th gear at 60mph
>Lol cool it works
>continue down road
>Decide to do same thing at a mild S bend in the road at lower speed
>Next thing I know I'm spinning around at 40mph
>imfucked.png
>End up in the dirt on the side of the road
>Luck out and don't hit anything

I felt like a retard because there were cars coming the other way that saw me do this.

Never tried anything that stupid again.

Even trained drivers can spin out occasionally.

Most people would have crashed the car into the barrier if it happened to them.

Yeah people just need to git gud

>be teen
>pouring rain and late for work
>take freeway exit too fast because don't want to miss the light
>Ford Explorer's rear slides out
>correct without breaking or hitting the divider
>make eye contact with prius driver in the lane over
>keep driving

I've lost traction twice on the same roundabout in the rain. Unfortunately the 323 has an FF layout and I was carrying a lot of weight in the back, so both times it was understeer. I just backed off the throttle and waited for the tires to regain traction.

ayye 33137 here u at

>weekend party
>homeboy tells me just take a bump
>3 weeks late bank account drained and wife has left me and taken the kids
>arrested for intent to distribute, bs cuz thats just a week long stash
>lose job, sent to court ordered rehab

Oh, you meant losing control in car.

Happened quite some years ago
>Broke teen driving moms 2011 fiesta to get to GF
>Driving the same small shitty roads every day
>Using the shittiest of them because less traffic and small shortcut
>Thinking that I know these roads better than Mt. Akina and starting to drive faster everyday
>On my way home there is a passage where a medium left corner leads directly into a sharp right corner, just in front of a village
>Hurr durr if I can do 100km/h I can do 140 without a problem
>I can't cuz
>Forgot that there is a ground wave just in the middle of the second right corner, which also is kind of a brow of a hill
>Ditch to the left, trees to the right
>slamming the breaks like I should have my gf's face back then
>Squeaking tires and a very long trace of rubber, Car is standing right on the edge of the ditch
>First time I realise theres a deer right in front of me on the Road

So if I wasn't a total retard I would have crashed into the deer because even with 100km/h due to the corner I could have never seen the deer timely

I hit something in the road in a big rainstorm and my toe is all fucked. MR2 down while I'm doing major updates to my main car. I noticed while its sitting not being driven it started to leak. ;_; Probably some 30 sum year old fuel line cracked again.

>be me
>decide not to be a fucking idiot
>don't lose control

>make a turn at 20mph on snow and ice
>understeer
>wheels full lock, awd on, keep understeering
>apply brakes
>watch as post gets closer and closer
>car stops 1" from the post
>laugh it off and drive away

>on track
>understeer doing 30mph on ice and snow
>go straight to brakes
>watch as tree comes closer and closer
>stop ft from the tree
>cry a bit and drive off

Now I've learned after hours of ice track that handbrake is get out of jail free card.

>drift 300hp car in rain or dry
>never wrekt or spun

>drive same car in light rain
>lift off oversteer (at like 10mph) going through the intersection
>spin 180 degrees facing traffic

He knows if you fight it youll just get fined for driving a lowered car kek.

>breaking

>not driving so close to your limit that you're about to break

That's because you weren't ready for it, snap oversteered doing 15 in a carpark

>Drives a CRX
>Understeers at 30
Get some good tires, OP.

>take turn rated at 25
>go 45 because racecar driver
>spin out
>manage to avoid all curbs and slide neatly into one of the turn only pockets
>make a u turn and continue on my way
I prefer to hoonon dry roads now

Hi, op here
I've been driving around and my alignment isn't fucked or anything, should I still go to a shop for them to align it? What should I check for? I feel really bad for doing it but we all learn somehow right

i drifted my Subaru Justy in the snow and bashed into a curb. one side of the car lifted off and SMACKED down again, full force, it was RUTHLESS.

the alignment was a little fucked, unfortunately. had to keep force on the steering wheel so it doesnt move to the left. i still drove it like 2 years or so after, then it was pretty much rusted to shit and i bought a mercedes.

>countersteer like a madman
