First for cruisers are perfectly fine.

Not so fast.
>Really slow

This was Passo Resia yesterday (less than 20km from the pass).

I think it's best if I wait a bit before going to check SEM's camp place.

I'm half way done with this.

Wait till may or something

Mine is pretty slow. It gets off the line decent but runs out of steam around 55mph. But that's fine, it's fun for riding around in and it's loud as fuck

Nah, it just snowed last week. Another week of spring temps and it should be fine.

Can my DL-1000 be power wheelied in 2nd without the clutch?

Or do I sit far back and go high from 1st and change gears while at 11oclock or so?

learn to clutch wheelie correctly in first before you worry about all that shit, don't cut corners.

Have some other picture.

This should be the Stelvio.

I can`t clutch wheelie at all, thats why they are so small.

That and I am scared to wreck my only bike.

>I can't clutch wheelie at all

no time like now, that's why they call it the present.

That looks fun

can you get a videogame-like 3rd person view onnabike?
all other mounting opions look like shit when down low

On top of a stick with a gyro?

youtube.com/watch?v=hAp4-N_APw0

oh, shit, this looks super good

is this even legal?

yeah, and that one doesn't have the gyro. Check his other videos.
Why not?

how far back does the stick itself go?
i'd reckon outside secluded twisties everyone would give you beef

Don't ask me. Not far, I believe, things look much more distant with the fish eye.

The real question is what settings should I use on my new SJ4000? Can't find shit about usage with motorcycles.

stock
bring exposition up if you want to look faster
use 720p MAX if you want to post in here

I plan to use a diy ND filter so what exposition should I use?
>720p
Yeah, no. You can always downscale webms.

auto i guess
ask CB or Tash

Exactly this

Yiss

Am I the only person that thinks nakeds/'streetfighters' look like shit?

Honestly I think UJMs are THE MOST A E S T H E T I C bikes

I think this modern design language looks like ass. Sv650 looks good though.

>Scared to wreck my only bike
>Wheelie

????

UJMs are functional and hail from an era where everyone didn't own a garage full of specialist machinery. It's no accident that many collectors who can afford anything they want own UJMs. The VJMC have many classics and their shows at major events like Barber in Alabama are worth attending.

vjmc.org/

I shill the fuck out of Barber. No matter what you ride you have no soul if nothing there makes your penis twitch.

barbermuseum.org/events/barber-vintage-festival/in-the-park/attractions

Tent camping is fucking excellent. Shitters and showers stay clean. Food vendors are usually good (the Italian Ice trailer didn't show last year. They suck. Avoid if it returns unless paying for a shot glass full of ice chips appeals to you. I bring a couple cases of water.). The auction is worth a stroll.

The swap meet is outstanding. Last year I scored a titled Norton Commando frame which made my trip (shopping is why I take my truck) for cheap. Lots of vintage Jap goodies, lots of complete bikes for sale, lots of every brand you've heard of and many you will never see elsewhere.

Protip:
If you buy a new bike to keep, save everything you take off it, especially stock exhausts. Hang that shit on a wall for the future.

Eurofags should note VJMC chapters exist in Euroland to give you something to do beside watch "Camp of the Saints" happen in real life. As people with expertise in those machines age out of riding info becomes harder to find. Learn thy resources.

Get an utter shitbike to thrash. It can be one someone else thrashed because it's not your main ride. Hoon on expendable bike and you can have more fun without giving a fuck.

I used to have one, but my engine blew up. It was 1994 model so it wasnt new.

I was learning the wheelie on it. Never got around to clutching it.

>only one life
>ride bike

Don't know if this is old news but it's a finnish mb-police chasing some guy on meth in Helsinki.

Nice. Personally I prefer photos "in the wild" because it forces you to trace the background as well.

SUPERIOR IN EVERY WAY

>look at gay old motorcycles with a thousand other dudes you never saw in your life in Mosquitoes And Alligators: The State
vs
>meet up with 10 dudes to talk about bikes, crashing and the Samoan Engineering Forum you all visit
SEM wins hands down.

>Poorfags dont know what prisma is

Does it hurt to be so ignorant?
Enjoy your 125cc gang bang kiddos.

>implying I would waste my money on software that can be had FOR FREE
Also you don't trace those pics to have a traced pic, but because the process of tracing is a relaxing pastime.
Also computer software can't replicate the random deviations from the "rules" a human makes.

Sour grapes.

I used MS paint.

>not using /dbt/'s official (TM) webm converter (R)

Haha
Cruiserfag should have chosen a Dual Sport for the run.
That was entertaining to watch but...
The cop puts himself in great danger chasing the guy like that and forces the other guy to run like a madman putting others in danger too.
I count 3 police vans making shitty "blockades" in the event of the whole chase. There must be some way safer to do this.

>tl;dr

>ok

Im thinking about getting suzuki savage as my first ever bike. Is it a good choice?

Yes

Okay, so.
Honda CBF125. Got caught in the rain, no issues. Sprayed the chain down the next day, started it up today, lights suddenly went out. ALL the lights. Front, rear, instrument lights. Engine started fine, indicators, neutral and engine check lights working, and the high-beam switch jammed when I tried to flash the lights to get them to do something. Physically jammed on. Started it again later to get it to a mechanic, then the problem spontaneously fixed itself
The fuck is going on?
The mechanics said to try and break it again, then bring it to them.
My thought is that it's a moisture issue, or that I hit something critical with the oil spray.
My abject fear is that I fucked up while replacing the gear lever I bent and broke something expensive.
The bend isn't the issue, that was done months ago and I only just got around to fixing it.

Nah, you're not the only one. I like modern-looking bikes with sleek fairings and paint jobs.

?

Finally got this beast running again after my crank seal fuck up, the kick start lever broke so i had to try bump starting it over and over to suck all the old gear oil out that was in the crank case. Had to trailer it back up the hill like 3 times before it actually started. Why havent you taken your shitbike for a ride dbt?

>binland police have trouble keeping up with a hurrley
lmao

Fuck you too

Because its in the shop since thursday.
Left it there so they make a general checking of what should be changed/fixed (as Im not very sure the previous owner did any maintenance) before I start doing long rides.
Still no news.

github.com/richman-stallard/webm-by-dbt

I wouldn't worry about it. Your switch might have needed to be lubed

Because it was more windy than I wanted to deal with. I'll ride this afternoon though

>Perkele intensifies

i do not trust teh dbt people

Good thing it's released as free software under the GPLv3 which means you can study the code, modify it, redistribute it and distribute your modified copies. If you don't trust me, check the code.

Is the 2009 ninja 250r a good bike?

It worked just fine when the lights unfucked themselves, though.
And there's no 'on' switch for the lights; automatically on with the engine because muh safety and muh not killing muh customers at night.

No, and it isn't even the best beginner bike. That title goes to you-know-what-bike.

So what is your issue? A sticking high beam switch?

>those rev limiter shifts
>that video stabilization

Fucking putrid waste of bandwidth

My issue is that the lights turned themselves off. All on their own. And wouldn't turn back on, until they suddenly did later on when I went to get it fixed.

It's for a tiny grill
And it's $2000

Is it still doing it? If not, don't worry about it. If it is, water night have gotten into the circuitry. Maybe check the wiring on the might but bikes are built to be fairly waterproof

It's not kept outside, but it's now an intermittent electrical fault, and I'm going to have anxiety about it until I figure it out.

I think I'm gonna have to open up as much electrical stuff as possible and check it.

DID I FUCKING STUTTER?

I mean bikes are fairly simple. There's not much that it could be.

???
my 40hp shitbike can wheelie without the clutch if I put the effort into it

This. 11HP, and I can wheelie by accident if I'm too hasty with the clutch. Not been higher than a few inches because instinct is to grab for the clutch, though.

Looks like another weekend maintenance task, then.

I pulled the wheel up racing a stang with my shadow, this thing isn't that powerful and is pigfat as fuck.

And look for loose connections, but you've now entered the world of electrical gremlins and that fucking sucks.

If it doesn't happen again, don't worry about it

I was asking if I could power wheelie with no clutch past first gear.

>transporting bike
>piece of shit ratchet strap breaks, bike falls over on it's side in the bed of the truck
>figure whatever, it's only a couple of miles left so I can deal with it
>unload bike at destination
>try to start bike up
>bike has to try really hard to start and it cuts out after a second

Did I fuck it? I dropped it off at the mechanic anyway to change the chain and sprockets because I don't have the right tools myself so I can't go back and look at it right now. I figure it might just have drowned in fuel for a second because it's carbed, but I dunno.

why would you ask us if you can power wheelie your bike? Just ride along in second gear near peak power and whack the throttle wide open. You can answer that yourself

yeah carbs flood when tipped over because they rely on gravity to make the floats work right

She was flooded my dude, no worries

I posted it in the last thread, but probably got mostly euro-opinions since it was at 4am.

Thinking about a buell ulysses. I live in forever-flat land, however I do go to the twisties a few times a year even though the closest ones are 6 hours away... also might do a cross country trip this summer. Leaning towards the buell mostly because of the price, (4k canadian) although I could get an 07-08ish fz6 for around the same. Any thoughts?

Coming off a sv650, want something with more grunt and more comfy for a tall guy.

>yfw i have video of me shifting 2k past redline
if only i wasn't so inept at making webms

it's a shit bike made by a shit brand
buy jap or euro, leave americans to their cruisers

I'm in the same boat as you. I like the idea of an xb9r, but from what I've heard, higher mileage examples kind of shake themselves apart. The engines are solid though.

I'm looking into an fzy or vfr just because of legendary reliability and in the fz6 case it's pretty light for category and has a lot of horsepower

The ulysses is not a good buell. If it's not an XB9/XB12 or one of the new EBR models it's not worth the money.

Waiting on my tail tidy

Mate the Ulysses is an xb12xt

Different suspension setup neuters it.

I mean it's a completely different kind of bike. Instead of being a sport standard it's now am adv bike

its a very shitty plasticy GS knockoff with a shitty harley engine with no power but outrageous fuel consumption.

What exactly do you want? Lies to make your mistake easier?

No ffmpeg?

This nigga salty as fuuuuuck

youtube.com/watch?v=gU1NJWbzJpA

there you go

>Buell
Ugly as sin.

Please see

Top kek, fucking rekt.

ok DBT, what is the best way to learn how to woolie?

>The ulysses is shit
>I mean, it handles very well
>Has tons of torque
>It isnt badly built
>But I dont like it because it doesnt wave the amercan flag
>Even when it says "American motorcycles" on the side
>Its not a double cheseburger
What the fuck kind of review is that?
