They should eventually have weekly tournaments with a proper in-game UI regardless. With no rank loss, ladder rank means less and less the longer the game exists for. It's already at the point where low masters is kind of a joke.

Flooding the board while simultaneously punishing you for playing followers is cancer.

There's a lot you can do. You can go straight up mage burn

You can do a ptp disco dragon using the pendant to boost
You can use it as a supplement in disco to boost your damage effects
You can use it as a tech in ramp/storm, emissary and cavalier can let you reduce it or others to some pretty useful combos that only add even more value as your overflow comes up.

Basically, it's a powerful winmore card that can either kill you or enable you to retake and hold the lead from playing it.
