all the classes have places in the game. if you are playing "competitive" payload and their engineer is huddled up it is the best way to get to their spawn, fuck up their teles, and kill a few out of the spawn which is a big deal. he can help a lot in pushes, whether dropping meds (especially popped meds like vac or quickfix) or with teamwork fucking up sentries. im not saying most classes wont do this job better but it is harder to fuck up. it is also just a very fun class to play no matter what you do with it

Heavy supposed to be a mobile sentrygun which protects and sacrifices himself for Medic.
Think it like a tank casting "threat" to the raid boss so healer won't get focused. If Medic dies before Heavy, that means you did your job poorly.
Also Heavy is the only counter class to a pocketed Demoman because he can soak up damage and still give a small chase.

Nope. This can be said for any pick class in the game for pubs. Nobody plays Medic, your team will have 6 spies and 5 snipers everytime and there are no class limits. Either there should be a way for random class and loadouts (perhaps more contracts) must be a thing in game.
