I will never understand the "Amy is blind" idea. I mean, look: Shadow the Hedgehog, Silver the Hedgehog, and Sonic the Werehog ALL LOOK LIKE SONIC. You guys might not be able to see it for some dumb reason, but everyone in-universe can see it, SEGA can see it, I can see it.

Oh I've been lurking/posting in this general for almost two years now. I just only started to recently learn japanese.
Nope, not that user. I haven't played Colors but I did play Lost World. I have the Steam version and I don't remember seeing any option for japanese on there. I am curious how different the dialogue is too. I do know in Generations at least Classic Eggman is referred to as just Eggman and not Robotnik.

You can switch to Japanese in the pirated version. I was also able to mod the English subtitles in, but I imagine those match the English dialog and not the Japanese one.
