I got beat by a Foxbody Mustang on the Tail of the Dragon once. I was driving a Miata.

In my defense, I had lots of luggage and a passenger, so going full-tilt was not an option, but I'm not assuming the other guy was going 100% either. Corner as hard as you want, that V8 torque cannot be matched by the puny Miata engine.
