Currently I'm planning to play Rance Quest, so I want to ask several things.
- Is there any guide/tips for it?
- Should I install the expansion Magnum too??

Read the digests for I and II, play 03. After that I honestly found IV to be playable enough, but if you find it too old, watch the streams for it some user made earlier.
Don't bother with 4.1 and 4.2 unless you're a really big fan of the series, definitely play Kichikuou.

For Rance I you read the digest
For Rance II you read the digest or play the game (its 8 hours max)
Rance III you play.
Rance IV you play.
Rance 4.x who cares.

I just found UPDATE 2082 [Magnum only] from Hongfire, I guess I'll use that along with 2050 from pastebin.

That may not be compatible with the interface patch (though really at most it would just be Rick and Am's stuff that doesn't get translated in World 3 so go ahead)

Just so you know (REAL SPOILERS AHEAD), she gets raped either way. There's an extended bad end for her where she turns into a mindless sex slave obsessed with getting revenge on Rance.

If you want to save her you have to recruit her dad and get his affection up from hate to normal in a few turns after you conquer their territory. Then you go search for her.

Only read the spoilers if you want to be spoiled.
