Brave HBG is beyond stupid. You can chain like 3 staggers worth of damage before the monster can even make it to you. I simply can not think of how this will be balanced at all, the only reason it sort-of underperforms in the demo to not being stupid is because they give you no combines

Checked it, the file size is identical to the byte so I think it's legit. Don't feel like the fifteen minute transfer to my microsd and five minute install because microsds are shit tho. Brave style every weapon gets a block while sheathing, which turns into a perfect evade basically if you time it right or reduced damage if you don't, and the longer you hold it the more damage over time you take as well. Once you fill up a gauge (if you're a shitter who never CBed or Guard Lanced and doesn't know how to counter, you can get it up more slowly by just hitting the monster) you go into cuhrazy game mode and get a stupidly overpowered moveset where you move around really fast and do ridiculous anime shit. People thought the mvs might be weak to compensate but it seems to mostly be really strong (staggering monsters multiple times in rapid succession).

Alchemy lets you shake a barrel (not sure how, haven't tried it yet) to create items the longer you shake it. You can use the items (they're like normal items but with side effects, like a whetstone that is also a hunter drink) or throw them on the ground for teammates to pick up (kinda shitty, unless I've missed something and you can throw them straight TO teammates). It's clearly meant as a support role regardless, but due to the free op items and iirc 3 arts it might replace striker on some weapons.

Looks like Brave Bow might be the new KO weapon.

It's extremely lenient, guess I didn't explain well. The timing on not getting damage over time is very lenient, about a lance charge, but if you take longer than that you start taking self-damage. You can hold it indefinitely but you'll keep hurting yourself.

Oh, I see how the Alchemy barrel thing works. When you use it, there are three choices. To craft one of 2 items, or to spend 1 point of the gauge to be able to craft a different set of two items. Since you can spend up to 4 additional points, that makes it so that there are 10 different items you can make, depending on points spent.
Not that anyone was actually interested.

The special brave sheath attack seems to shoot out your arc shot, but in a single arrow. Add Exhaust Coating.

I forgot to add, that "shaking" animation is what the hunter does when a point is spent. So the more points an item needs, the more time is spent shaking. It actually doesn't take too long to spend all points.

Out of brave mode, very clunky, and it's a bit slower to reach brave mode than other weapons
Once you're in brave mode, you will shit all over whatever you are hunting, and also maintain brave better than most other weapons

What's everyone playing on the demo? I can't stop using cat for some reason. I'm almost done going through all the options. Still have no idea what I'm doing.

Both in and out of brave mode, you get a guard point on your quick reload. Outside of brave mode, your quick reload reloads 1 shell, in brave mode it reloads 4.
Brave attacks are a powered up shell, and the adept counter reload. These build up brave gauge EXTREMELY quickly, and you can easily enter brave mode within 10 seconds of starting a fight.
You can rapid fire powered up shells, and cancel any attack into a guard point reload, giving the weapon a lot more fluidity and safety.
You can now also combo the slam into more thrusts.
In brave mode, wyvernfire is sped up to about the speed of a regular charged shell.

shelling seems to do alot of damage(although they seem like high rank monsters), the guard point on reload is amazing, wyvernfire comes out fast.

It's supposed to focus entirely on charges, so it depends on how well the charging gimmick works out.

I'm not sure. I would think so too.

I couldn't get the R hits after the brave charge hit to connect reliably.
So far not a fan. The dash movement is nice though and can really help with positioning.

Unless I'm missing something it doesn't seem to gain anything in bravemode? Still gets the on-demand bushido counter as the brave attack, no counter. Only good thing about its brave mode seems to be that it has a longish infinite combo (three thrusts and the counter), which doesn't seem worth the tradeoff since it has the triple hit thrust and the long counter attack. Looks like brave lance is a bust unless I'm missing something.

Is it really useful for tail cutting? I've tried it once in 3U, and it was awful.

Yeah this sucks, it even gets the infinite out of bravemode btw so I really don't know what that adds and both in and out it loses the charge AND the counter. No charge and a triple long sheathe makes the weapon feel like you're glued in place, which REALLY sucks with FUCKING CATS, but it also sucks when you can't fucking evade or counter. Brave lance seems downright fucking worthless.
