This. Going first outside of playing aggro ensures you lose the game because of that evo and extra card advantage.

going first can be advantageous in certain mirrors or pseudo-mirrors where two decks utilize the same wincon (PtP, Satan)

How would you fix it?

A: 2nd player doesn't get an extra card

B: 2nd player doesn't get extra EP (still gets to Evo first)

C: 2nd player needs to wait till T5 to Evo (still has 3 EP)

I actually skip turn 4 completely a lot of times. Anything you can place on board just dies instantly and there is nothing you can do about it.

These fuckers ramp like 70 fucking times and can deal 7+ storm damage ever turn. If I use wards they can just nuke them all. There is legit nothing I can do to stop this shit. I've tried everything. The worse part about it is that the game seems to think I'm ready to fight the master ranked dude and I'm not.

Really the only answer is ambush or to swarm where their swing play won't clear everything. Shadow Reaper is a good start for a defensive going first T4 play, hopefully we get more like him.
