Is there any brand left that cares about how the engine looks behind the cover?

Or doesn't even have a cover over it at all?

The 1.5L Turbo in the new Civic doesn't have an engine cover

>autism

To many electronics running in engines nowadays that it's just a clusterfuck

that is a refreshing change of pace.

Alfa used to show really damn proudly their engines not even that long ago.
Not sure if they still do that but probably not

The most annoying thing is when cuck reporters open the engine bay and complain about the bay being "cluttered" and then rejoice when the engine is COMPLETELY hidden behind plastic covers.

Fucking cuck reporters enable this shit.

1990 Nissan Micra SUPER TURBO (0.9l inline4 with turbo AND supercharger) engine bay.

lel

It needs one.

You are everything wrong with modern cars

...

interesting.
looks like an engine from the 90s

I have no idea if the alfa V6 is shit or not, but damn is it pretty

Such a small and shitty engine there's no benefit to cover it aside from hiding this ugliness

How is it shitty?

Those funtimes are over.

Alfa engines look like every other now. Just like the Alfas in general.

Basically they're telling you to not bother working on cars yourself and "look at the pretty engine cover!"

Half of the car is computer anyways so we can't do shit in the garage.

Mazda still knows what's what

I'm impressed.
I know Mazda is supposed to be a bit more enthusiast oriented but I still didn't expect this

>Earth Dreams Technology
>Skyactiv Technology

Oh Japan...

Plastic intake manifold is ugly. I know its better than metal but I just hate it

I beg to differ, with me owning this monstrosity

>implying you aren't just funding other people's fun when you buy a FWD mazda

Audi at least used to have pretty small covers on the engine itself.
The rest of the engine bay is a sea of black plastic shells though.

genesis coupe had a very attractive engine bay, so does the new genesis cars like the g80 if you take the cover off

>all of the rust
>none of the fun
>FWD Mazdas, everyone!

...

It's an Alfa. Every bit of it is shit.

>firewall installation looks vaguely woodlike
weird

Well it is a mitsubishi

>alfa romeo in fancy red script on a piece of plastic that looks like a bin lid
o i am laffin

literally everything wrong with modern cars
aka small displacement turbo engine for fuel efficiency that aren't really fuel efficiency or powerful.

I want one. When my fit dies i will make it my new shitbox

was going to say ferrari but this is the 488 engine bay

Its typical Alfa, fucking amazing as long as its working, but good luck getting it to work.

ford focus.

it's hard to see in this pic but the engine bay has a big cavernous hole behind the engine, making it easy to access the engine from both sides.

AAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAH
ALL IS LOST

that's some fine ass cable management compared to most other new engines.

apparently they really gave their best because no cover.
but why? wouldn't some half assed management with cover to hide it be cheaper?

This. I think the Miami V8 looks nice as well.

This is a nice touch as well

I miss 90s Tickford attention detail though
