Protect is a cross-class skill for SCHs, as is cleric stance. At that level you only get one cross-class slot.

So the Double Empyreal opener, without actually seeing you do it I can't really tell you what you're doing wrong sadly.. (unless you have a random bard parse of you uploaded to fflogs). Those openers are perfectly fine assuming you're performing it correctly :x

It's Sastasha, you can stay in cleric and the fairy can handle all the healing on her own.

Does NIN have a lot of positionals?

I've never done MNK or NIN but I figured I'll need to go through them to get ready for SAM, I'm not liking MNK so far maybe NIN would be more interesting.

I have, no joke, had SCHs set themselves to autofollow me with their fairy on sic and go AFK through the first three dungeons.

NIN is the most fun DPS, and only has 2 positionals

One finisher has a rear positional, one is a flank (but you'll only be doing it to refresh a timer that goes up to a minute), and the Trick Attack special effect requires a rear positional to work, but all in all it's nowhere near monk's level of positionals

We're not all the same, you know. What I do does not have anything to do with the rest of Odin.

You wont stance dance during the actual fight outside movement heavy bits or a 2nd opener after boss jump kinda deal. The toggle is to make you clip less while getting up the last buff and potion up so if you're not going to be using potions you can just not toggle if you want.

I also recommend trying out the WM off opener if the double empyreal one isn't clicking/you don't like it.

Stance dancing is just an opener thing, don't worry about it much (even moreso since you're only doing dummy fights, no movement involved)
