Playing lore-appropriate Wood Elfs is kinda fun, it was hard early on trying to survive with obly 1 region, but after i got confederation train rolling and befriended Empire and Brets, there is nothing left that could threaten us, except Archaon.

You have two roads to success.

1: Ignore Iron Rock and head south. Let the Red Fangs get shit on by the Dwarfs while you take their land and build up strength. Fight Karak Azul as a stepping stone to prep you for fighting the main Dwarfs.

2: Be real kunning and use the Underway to get up to the Silver Road. Sack the minor provinces until you get a Waaagh going, then nab Karaz a Karak.

Long and short of it is: Fighting dwarfs without your elite armor piercing units sucks. So either out vnderstand them early or avoid them until late.

The campaign map really is shit in TW games compared to grand strat, that misses the point of what always made TW so great. It's the mix of strategy vs seeing those units in 3D.
