What's a good drift car from makers in North America?

Is a honda civic good as well?

yeah a civic is perfect for drifting

Get a toyota echo, those are the best drifter

Forgot to be specific, is a 2005 civic good?

Alright, but is there any good drift cars from NA makers or is it mostly just style points with American makers?

Mustang
It drifts into the trash

dodge neon

...

So, is it good for learning or does it perform well if you put in the money?

Really good taste user

Mustang's not really a drift car. It's very wide and heavy. You can definitely do it but you'd be better off with a lighter vehicle.

the civic is the best drift car because spare parts are cheap and plentiful in case you crash

That's why I'm aiming for it, but aren't american parts cheaper since they don't require importing them in?

So it's mostly a drag racer and just pure power versus having good control then?

mustang is the perfect drift car, stop watching initial d retard. loads of torque, rwd and happy to spin those tires, plus you don't need to dump lots of money to make it more powerful, just a set of tires and suspension

OP just make sure you don't buy RWD garbage
rwd cars are too hard to drift while fwd cars are MADE to drift

What are the pros and cons of rwd and fwd? I wouldn't really know the difference when it comes to drifting versus regular driving

>FWD
>drifting
Lurk moar retard

I would, but I have to sort through shit tons of stupid shit before I find any sort of useful Veeky Forums threads

rwd is hard to control and scary and you understeer alot
fwd is awesome because you can drift and theres no understeer at all

Not at all, they are more expensive. American cars usually do not last as long, brick easily and cost more to fix. JDM are cheaper parts, no matter if imported or not.

Ok, but how much more would it cost to import in Canada? As far as I can tell, the laws make it hell, especially in British Columbia

this thread.

Gtfo, I need actually useful information

I don't know, I'm in the freedom country.

Get off your phone and kys kiddo, site is 18+

Thanks anyways. Commiefornia-born though, do not move to Canada, it's shit.

I just can't stop laughing, OP.
Good thread.
Yes, go with Civic.

Get the civic and some mods and you'll be drifting like a god

Civic is best drift car
Rwd are just death machines.
Grab a civic and you'll be happy.

I would save up for something better, but a civic is all I've got for now.

Idk about body mods, I'd rather worry about performance before making it a rice rocket

Ya'll faggots are pathetic, why troll someone who's genuinely asking questions?

Op, you need a rear wheel drive, front engine, manual car for easiest time drifting. Fwd can drift, but because of how front engine front drive works, it's not the best, and you're likely to lose control. Fwd is more for cornering, AWD can powerslide really well, and rws can generally drift.

You want a cheap rwd beater to start. A 240sx, miata, foxbody mustang are all good starting points.

A limited slip differential is ideal, but welding an open differential works too. The best thing to do is find a cheap car like I mentioned above, and take it to a track to practice.

Thanks bro, any advice on pricing cars and things to look out for?

What the fuck, man? This is the most dangerous and most irresistible """advice"" I've seen here

For a simple learn to drift car, all it needs to do is run and have decent tires. Even a n/a mk3 supra would be fine to learn with, but you'll want to gut the interior a bit.

mustang with an LSD, pre-IRS

>I have been here for two days
this is typical Veeky Forums advice
Veeky Forums is dangerous and irresistable

>Tons of stupid shit
Like this thread of yours?

Pls make this torture end

Memeing, but a foxbody or turd gen is a good drifter car

Big yes, but easy to make power, easy to break the rear end out, common, and affordable, cheap to repair.

there's no sense in buying 15,000 rice taxed Jap car if you're just going to immediately put it into a divider

No, threads about things I don't give a shit about and then posts like yours that are useless

Sage

Audis are the best drift cars.

its cost more than the car just to convert it to rwd

Fuck off, still lurking
