It's generally considered decent and I feel so too. However as you can see it's not all positive.

The bad thing is the fps can drop quite a bit sometimes during heavy processing. Plays like a traditional JRPG but the combat system is quite refreshing.

There's only one hard task, which is to win via robbing a kong. I.e. an opponent tries to take a discarded tile to make 4 of a kind and it happens to be the one you need to win.

Just wondering.. I've always wanted to pick-up Stranger of Sword City, but now that Re-visited is coming tomorrow, I'm wondering if I should just get that one.

Do you think it's worth the extra cost, or is the first one good enough. Just wondering if anyone played it and thought it didn't need an upgrade.

Yes. It removes quite a lot of annoying shit the original had. It's was a great game regardless, just this version sound even better.

Some details. I should also highlight that there are only 4 tiles of any kind and a kan requires all 4.

Then, it must go exactly like in either of the two scenarios:
1) Opponent makes 3 of a kind in the open. Then picks up a fourth. Then decides to use it to promote the triple to a quadruple (the kan / kong). At that point of time, you happen to need it to win (robbing it).

2) You need exactly one type of tile for Kokushi Musou (A special kind of winning hand), then an opponent happens to declare all 4 of those tiles for a kan straight from hand. This is rare since that winning hand is hard to come by, though fairly common in superpower mahjong Saki.

So the difficulty comes in 1) opponents must gather 4 of a kind, 2) you happen to need that to win and 3) your opponent uses those tiles in the right way and you are ready to win. Hence low overall probability.
