Trying to download Special Edition for the first time. Why does the download stops every 5 seconds or so, then I have to put it back at the queue, this thing is never going to finish.

download starts > quickly stops > i put it back in the download queue > repeat

Tesgeneral is down for me right now to get more redpilled about this. I heard the NMM just pastes the mod directly into the data folder unlike the MO that keeps them in a separate folder to help with conflicts and mod uninstalls.

Using Wyre Bash as I have been told to, a bunch of mods that I would like to use appear as archives, and in order to install them I'd have to click the subdirectories.

I just have no idea what the bulk of these subdirectories mean, so I dont know what I should generally install. I know that NMM can install these, as a diologue box shows up with the options.

Do I just have to use Wyre Bash for some mods and NMM for others? Is there any kind of better way that I am too dumb and inexperienced to find?

Why would you use Wrye Bash or NMM? Just use Mod Organizer.

I'm used to Wyre Bash from Oblivion way back when, I like MO's interface less, but if it can install everything than there is really no reason why I would use anything else.

Now if only the core combat system could have the same done with it.

It's not a joke, no. He temporarily hid all his mods as a sort of protest against Trump during pre-election, then he enabled them again after Trump won but shortly after he removed them again and wrote a novel on Reddit explaining why he quit modding.
