You're shitbox

>you're shitbox
>would you trust to drive it for a 1000 mile road trip

Models newer than 2005 need not apply

yes and yes

2001 rep!

Did 5000 on it actually.

>03 ram
Fuck no.
I'm surprised it's gotten 20,000 miles so far.
It would probably make it, but it's a hell of a tow bill otherwise.

>95 civic

yes

Drove my 71 GMC 850+ miles across country no problem.

Drove my 1992 E36 all the way from NYC to San Antonio. Didn't have a single issue on the nearly 2000 mile trip.

>91 Miata

Well, the last time I took a trip nearly half that far,l (last summer), the radiator blew up and I ended up swapping that, the head gasket, water pump, and timing belt, and had to have to cylinder head refinished. So with all that shit out of the way, yes, I think I could do it now.

What's that clear-cut stretch? Power line? Border?

2003 Chevy Silverado 2500hd. I'd trust it.

Yeah, no problem.

04 ram. Refuses to die.

I want to see your legs

What engine?
Mines a 4.7, already on its second head, you walk through the junkyard and every single 4.7 has a broken passenger side head.

Its power lines
>border
Because maps have line were the borders are so should the earth.

>04 saab
Been from SoCal to NorCal and back, hooned a hundred miles of backroads. Twice.

Were you on the Texas 4k team?

i'm doing a 7000 km road trip in my 98 delica right now

i'm halfway thru and so far so good (i'm running out of money tho)

>93 del sol
>sure

drove it from socal to seattle during the winter

04 Civic. Yep, wouldnt even break a sweat.

A 4.7. Never a major issue at 180k. I changed the water pump, idler pulley, transmission filters, and one radiator hose over the course of 10 years.

>Because maps have line were the borders are so should the earth.
If they're not on the earth, then how do the maps know?

/n/ get out

>R34

haha no

Just made an 1800 mile drive in mine. Might as well have been an 18 mile drive, it was so easy

I'd trust it.

2002 WRX wagon

Just did a 1500 mile trip in it a few weeks ago. Only problem is I think I have a warped rotor which is weird because I almost never use the brakes, and especially not hard.

just drove 3000km in my 2001 rav4 diesel with a blown turbo and a destroyed dual mass flywheel.

Burnt more oil than diesel.

Wouldn't do this again

I just spent 2000 rebuilding the front end, so yes.

I would have definitely trusted my now crushed '02 Malibu on such a long trip. Regular oil changes every 5k km and head gasket was replaced a couple years back.

>Models newer than 2005 need not apply

>2000 Grand Prix GTP

I'm driving to NC in a couple months. So I trust it as long as the original parts still hold up.

1991 w250 12 Valve. Going from north of Dallas to Shreveport and back Saturday to pick up a boat. Wish me luck.

>96 Ford contour
I don't trust it the 20 minutes trip to another town

>89 Mustang
Don't trust it in its current state during the 5 minute commute to work

Yes, absolutely. Just about all the wear parts and seals have been replaced, and the only thing currently wrong with it is that the front O2 sensor is kind of tired, causing poor city fuel economy, and a shitty aftermarket coil pack is causing phantom misfire codes.

Car 1 - 97: Should probably fix my vaccum leak, otherwise no sweat.

Truck - 97: Eh....... The potential is there but I need to iron out an oil leak or two...

Car 2 (not pictured) '84: I wouldn't drive it 10 miles, let alone 1000. Should be done by mid summer tho

Yes and yes

>95' E36 325i
>almost blown autotragic

I'll definitely make it

>fz6
Sure, I'm doing quintuple that this summer
>Acura
Sure
>Ferd
Ehhhhhhhhh

We have it like that tho

>rav4 with barely any maintenance or oil changes done during its entire lifetime
>yes

>1989 Comanche
I don't know at all. The closed cooling system boiled over last time I let it sit, but it ran 60 miles of highway home just fine. The various sensors, gauges and other wear parts are still suspect to me. Brakes are shot. Suspension components are worn out. Steering is loose. My biggest worry is the condition of the various harnesses, I don't know when one of them is going to corrode through requiring me to bash pins until I find what wire went out.

03 Explorer

190k miles, random misfires, turns off on occasion when coming to a stop, drivers door occasionally doesn't latch. Sure I trust it.

'87 190e 2.3-16 w/ 180,000mi
Sure, I drove it 2300mi to get it home without issue, another 1000 isn't gonna kill it.

99' Corolla 249k miles on it, passenger axle has been ready to blow since i bought the car 6 months ago.
I've taken it to 110mph numerous times and it still hauls my ass to work.
Gas and oil is all it needs.
Give me something with a challenge.

as long as a 4.7 never gets hot (like even half way above) it will be fine and very dependable. If it overheats it will be garbage.

Mines a diesel. I'll take that chance. It's pre 1990's.

>YBR 125

Fuck no, I wouldn't take it on a 100 mile road trip.

>worn out sprockets and chain
>fuel injection is crap
>switches off randomly when I come to a stop

I guess on the plus side I would save a lot on fuel, as returns about 100mpg.

12v?

>95 Miata
>Yes no problem but it would be a horrible experience.

>94 civic
sure, It's been pretty reliable so far
>98 Tacoma
I've taken it on over a dozen road trips ranging from 800mi-1700mi. I used to do at least two a year for over 5 years a straight. 1000mi would be nothing, though it would suck being a bench seat reg. cab with no carpet and a lift with big mud terrains. drives like da poo poo

>98 Tacoma

One of the best trucks ever put into production.

>03 Almera
Never again.

if I can bring a quart of oil with me, yes.
Seems fair for a 36 year old shitbox

>Veeky Forums

'02 grand cherokee with 4.0L. As long as i top off the coolant occasionally, I trust it

>front wheel bearings shot
>brake shoes worn down to nothing
>driver side window switch broken
>previous owners hadn't EVER changed ATF, done at 111,000 miles and 15 years old
>wind noise, the car

yes, but it would be destroyed by the time i arrived

it would not be a pleasant experience

>25 year old Cadillac
Oh fuck, OP. I dunno. I take it about 400 miles to and from to see my boyfriend, so maybe.

Yes
It's a Honda

1993 4Runner
Yes, I did 425 miles one way a couple of months ago, and about 1100 miles total for the three day trip averaging 80mph. I would want to get new tires first though.

>1000 miles
Hell yeah this loves the highway.
75mph and 28mpg. Not terrible.

>ywn jump the gap while fighting off angry Russians then drive into the back of a waiting chinook

die in a fire, faggot

What did I ever do to you?

>you're shitbox
>you are a shitbox
>mfw I'm a 1994 nissan sentra

>78 Lincoln MKV

Hell no I barely trust this thing to take me to work in the morning

>>would you trust to drive it for a 1000 mile road trip

03 Jetta GLI

yes and I do a couple times a year through the Canadian Rockies and Coastals

It sure is pretty though, user.

Yeah why not?
I did a 650 mile round trip journey a few months ago and my dad did a 500+ mile round trip yesterday
I would be fine taking it 1000 miles

In fact, we're going to Le Mans this June and it's over 1000 miles and we're probably going to do it in my car if my dad doesn't get a new car before then

Doing 650 miles in a fucking easter egg holy fugg

>04 accord
>5 speed manual
ezpz

I'm easily pleased so it was actually quite nice

you'll be comfortable with who you are someday, user.

>Grand Cherokee 1994
Mechanical yes, but no because of the fule consumption.

>VW Bora 2002
Yes. But the lack of cruise control because base model would make for a pretty unconformable journey.

It's already gone from San Diego to Colorado Springs and back, so yeah I would trust it.

Hell yeh my dude

here's my shitbox. sorry it's an 07.

2007 Dodge caliber 2.0l CVT. Inherited from a family member.

it has $700 in fees, lien title(they never paid it off 100%), the tranny overheats on hot days or when going up too many hills

These cars are trash even by Dodge standards. It would be somewhat reliable with a manual trans, but the beat up non-serviceable CVT makes it horrible

Pretty sure the suspension is mostly shot so it rides like shit

It's been sitting for 2 years

I need to :
Change battery
Change oil
Change coolant
Replace transmission or flush coolant (FUCK)
Change fuel filter
Clean HVAC intake
Change motor mounts
Replace CVT filter and gasket
Check for seized brakes
Check wheels for flat spots
Check for condensation in gas tank
Check for worn belts

If I jump it, the motor turns over just fine and idles ok

I'd trust this car for about 100 miles if it's cold outside.

I just want this thing out of my life, but I'm stuck with it

Fuck cash for clunkers for ruining the used beater market.

Accord 4cyl with 60k miles

I drive it 100 miles per day and it's seen mostly highway miles. Even a 5000 mile trip is fine.

>97 starlet
>would trust to drive it to the moon and back a million times
>would only do it after I swap the seat for something that isn't a gloryfied ironing board
