The fat lady that sells the charms tells me that if I equip the right stuff together they will "shine" and be more powerfull. Do they literally shine or do they just get more powerfull and I have to assume they did?

If you're on v.1.05 then there's a bug the means you won't get rewards from the Colosseum locking you out of 100% completion, so just make sure you're on the latest patch.

I think it's been fixed for the latest versions (.6 and onwards?) but sometimes people wouldn't get the pale ore.

Also, for me in the third trial some of the fireballs threw at some point stayed in the air and never disappeared even if I touched them.

Literally the lowest area of mantis village. It's a cage where you fight the 3 mantis lord. I recommend upgrading your weapon before trying it.

Man, Quarrel is really really old. The Watcher clearly put some magical spell on him that halted his aging, and it seems to have been undone when you absorbed the Watcher.
He even talks slower and with a more raspy voice when you meet him here.

He probably died of extremely old age shortly after this as the spell finally caught up to him.

You need to step back a little bit when he's starts to throw his shit balls. I believe if you have the long nail charm you are able to hit him while he's throwing the balls withouht getting hurt.

You can also get those blue charms that give you a shitload of hp but you can't heal yourself as well as the other one that gives you more health when you sit on the bench.

The Mark of Pride charm is found in the room where you fought the Mantis Lords, on the right hand side there's now a room you can accept after the fight.

The charm on the right of the three breakables charms is found in the Soul Sanctum. When you reach the "top" of the area (as in, the highest hallway you can access, just jump at the ceiling until you discover a secret path.

For the second half of the Kingsoul, upgrade your dream nail and go to the palace ground.
