So, what actually likely happened was Yellow Ermor thugged out Grey Ermor's capital (which had a dusk elder named Saoluthi in it) so hard the game broke.

Specifically he was using a flesh eater to berserk the dusk elder and take the battle to turn timer, when all Grey's skellingtons would dissolve and his mages retreat. Saoluthi wasn't gonna have any of that shit, and cast TIME WARP

Nope. It's that if your masters cast a spell the slaves don't have, there's a giant fatigue multiplier.

It doesnt kill them, but the fatigue cost of bolstering spells of paths they don't have is way more high that of spells they have paths.
So it is way more easier to kill the slaves fy exaustion. If only for a spell or 2 of Death and many slaves (you will have to find the exact balance by testing) you can prevent the death.

Don't use Augur Elders with Augur communion slaves unless you're willing to lose the Augurs.

Even if you tell the elders to only cast fire/astral spells, once off-script they will likely spam horde of skeletons and kill your augurs.

They're a 50hp commander and after buffs they quickly regenerate fatigue and health via soul vortex, have 26+ protection to shrug off attacks, and come back to life if you somehow manage to kill them through all that.

And this is before you start adding items to tank them up further.
