Can Veeky Forums appraise my coins?

i'd like to ask for opinions on these circulated coins.

i have a silver quarter 1964 D mint, note the wear over washington's ear compared against newer mints. fine condition. i believe i can get about $3-4 for it.

i also have these buffalo nickels. all in circulated shape as far as i can tell. not worth much of anything

then there's this 1943 penny. it is magnetic. is it fake?

closer pic of the head

user, keep all your coinage - it's the only stuff that will be accepted after abolishment of the Fed.

Keep all silver! That quarter in Roman times is the equivalent of 2.5 days of work.

Your magic magnetic penny is real, it's a result of fightin the Krauts. The real find is the 1943 copper penny.

coins in general arnt worth much over spot silver unless graded.

buffalo nickels worth maybe $1.50 each if someone wants them
silver quarters worth around $3-4 each

steel penny is worth like maybe $2

if the half dollar is silver its worth either $3 (40%) or $7 ($90)

how do you mine these coins, can you sell them at coinbase?

What are the years on those Presidential Dollars? I think 2012 and were made for collectors not circulation.

There is something about the Susan B. Anthony placement vs the rim you can look into, could yield some gains.

Bing is your "friend."

>nocoiner

i mine them at my local cash register/delivery job. those are very easy to get, just apply and be very friendly.

unmarked years. can't tell the minted year myself. not really hoping they're worth much.

susan b 1979 is normally appraised at face value.

there's something right of the tabula ansata i can't read with my eyesight or capture with my camera

Every now and then I go to the bank and ask for some dollar coins. Usually just Sacajawea and presidential dollars, but every now and then I get Susan Bs. It's kind of funny, I give the bank $1 and they give me a coin worth more than $1 in exchange if I'm lucky.

1943 steels are magnetic and are somewhat common, 3-8$

1943 coppers are not magnetic and are worth stupid amounts,

Amateur numismatist here. It looks like a lot of your buffalo nickels are worn dateless. If dateless, maybe worth 10 cents. But you can apply acid "nic o date" to the worn off date and because of different density of metal, the date will reappear. It is fun, you could possibly have a rare date. Also, steel penny worth less than 25 cents.

Interesting story - back in the 1960's gas was 25 cents per gallon. That same 1960 quarter is worth ~$3, which is about the price of gas per gallon today - proof that PMs are a hedge against inflation.

The year is marked on the rim (aka "relief) of the coin, along with the phrase "E. Pluribus Unum"

OH look real coinz.

Nice.

i do that, but with casino chips. casinos regularly introduce new chips, but keep old ones in circulation for a while. got a few "retired" tropicana and palms chips recently

i briefly looked into it and it appears the acid lowers the value of the coins. when they're all in extremely worn shape in the first place, it may be better to just not worry if i have any valuable coins or not. they all showed up in my cash drawer all at once, probably came out of a roll from the bank. maybe some old lady cashed in her widows old coins not caring about their value. i think a true collector would not have kept his valuable coins in a pile with the least valuable ones.

i still snagged them because they're old and interesting.

by the way, is there any other country on this planet that plays around with their coins as much as we do? we constantly mint crazy designer coins for no purpose at all other than to appreciate in value, or wear down into nothing.

It's great!

What's even greater is coins don't say Federal Reserve on them.

Looking at most of the coins the best one is definitely the 64. Anything younger than 64 is made of silver. Your 68 may be 40% I dobut it. The Susan b, and presidents are circs so they will be face value so is the Kennedy.

Buffalo's are beautiful coins. I see 1 date. They'd usually give you a quater for the buffalos. I'd hold onto them.
