To the 5 fellow people who actually like to play odd eyes decks, recently I discovered a little trick to surprise dudes that won me a match against barrier statues. Run foolish burial, odd eyes advent, and blue eyes chaos Max dragon along side odd eyes gravity dragon. It completely threw off my opponent.

Or just learn to play some of the decks that won't be impacted by Link summoning as much as pendulum summoning. Off the top of my head Blue-Eyes, Dark Magicians, Kozmo, Monarch, Water, SPYRAL, etc. Basically your main deck centered decks.

Also get odd eyes vortex dragon with an odd eyes fusion or maybe a trump for easy summoning. It bounces opponent's monsters back to the hand/extra deck and has a once per turn universal negate at the cost of shuffling a face up extra deck pendulum back to the deck. When absolute gets popped, you can summon vortex in emergency from absolute's effect to get rid of your opponent's scariest monster

I don't understand the hate on gold cards. Like, I get it's tacky if your whole deck is gold, but it's okay on a few of them. I also think it looks amazing on Xyz and Synchro extra decks

The way I see it is that the "Cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. Must first be Special Summoned by..." text is summoning conditions, but not being able to summon semi-nomi monsters from the grave unless they've been properly summoned first is game mechanics, not summoning conditions.

Will link monster really slow down the game? I'd really love to see duels last more than 2 turns, but I fear that these new rules won't stop some decks that spam xyz monsters and rank up. I hope to see some new link monsters soon.
