Why do people buy made in china crap from ebay for their cars?

its 3 pieces of metal that bolts across an engine bay you elitist prick

or do you only use 97 fold ladder Damascus steel on your strut bars?

It's not like it's a super complicated part.

Some people arent elitists who buy something cause it's more expensive

Maybe my jdm skills are lacking, but the thing look exactly like a cusco strut but pink

t.leased automatic FRS

I'd be surprised if your retarded ass even know what a strut bar is.

GLORIOUS NIPPON STEEL, FOLDED ONE THOUSAND TIMES
MY SHITBOX DOES NOT DESERVE ANYTHING LESS

Excuse my ignorance but I always see ebay being put down as a source for parts

I understand the chink engineering problem but what are some other good places to get aftermarket parts?

eBay is fine for some parts. Most cheap stuff is made in the same Chinese factory as JDM Tyte y0 parts.

Things like strut bars, brake stoppers, heat shields and sometimes turbo manifolds are fine. Just don't buy engine components or complicated suspension parts.

If its stupid but works, guess it ain't that stupid then :)

don't hate on my megan racing coilovers

this

I bought a paint-matched oem replica spoiler from Taiwan off of ebay

It's literally identical to the factory one and matches the paint perfectly. I could have gone with the OEM option but the Taiwan one was only $90 including shipping while the OEM one was between $350 and $500 from some places, and I couldn't justify spending that much more for something literally identical

This. Some things are fine ebay. Some things are not. The more precision it takes the more risky of a purchase it is. A strut bar should be fine provided the metal is thick and sturdy enough. But honestly any strut bar is better than no strut bar unless your car has some kinda funky suspension setup. Just keep an eye on any ebay parts for stress damage.

>implying that strut bar does anything

i just bought a front lip for my car and it came postage due.
wtf it said free shipping, that does not mean i should pay the $98.50 the post office wants for it.

Chinese are notorious for using garbage steel. Odds are the bar is actually weaker than the frame this meaning it does nothing for stability and at worst creates an unsafe environment

Where was it shipped from?

Ebay? Or another site?

Was the free shipping in the seller's description? Were there any disclaimers?

post a study that proves your made up claim in the context of strut bars

>mfw people get a strut tower brace instead of an upgraded front sway bar

they do different things though.
thicker front swaybars induce understeer. strut braces make the chassis stiffer

I'm assuming you're in the U.S.?

It says free shipping right in the shipping window, so you shouldn't have to pay for it.

Call ebay customer support and talk to them, they can probably help you on where to go from here

>Why do people buy made in china crap from ebay for their cars?

Because "I wanna be a racekor guis!!" but having no money to buy good parts.

Granted, there are some knockoffs that work fine for some things.

yep in shitty Illinois. fucking hate this place.

>literally a jerrycan for cooling fluids

what kind of car is this?

damn m8, call ebay customer service if you haven't already, I'm pretty sure you shouldn't have to pay for that

If you were looking at my car and I could hear what you were thinking:
>cares about the brand/origin/sales channel
>ignores whether it functions as a "bar" or not
>suddenly feel triggered as hell

Why do people project their consumer-grade shitlogic onto other people?

Customs/import fees?

That sir is a EJ205

That Chinese user garbage steel or that having a strut bar weaker than the frame adds no rigidity?

Nevermind just looked at your name, of course you don't now anything lmao.
