Yeah, seems like it. Honestly, I don't know what people were expecting from Forces. Boost was obvious from the first trailer, so I don't get why people are acting like it coming back is a surprise.

It seems like the experimentation will likely be in the third gameplay style to be revealed. Not a bad choice if they keep the regular gameplay consistent.

I am super confused. It made sense for they to move away from Boost because of how time consuming it is to make a level that only lasts a few minutes, but judging by the things they mentioned, we're going to have more boost than ever.

Well, the guy up there said they were showing off one playstyle, which he called "Modern Sonic." Because Classic is in, it's safe to assume the next playstyle is classic. He also said that it's "Sonic vs Eggman." so... Modern, Classic and Eggman.

There are two sides in this game, good and evil. I doubt Sonic Team is going to make a new, fast character, but it isn't outside their retardation. So, Evil Modern might be Shadow... although it doesn't fit with his G.U.N. Gimmick. It would be a shame to see some donut come in for this.

The new character is likely the classic counterpart.

Well this is basically consistent with what they have been doing for the past couple years. A team makes these kinds of game, and B teams makes the more experimental type games. Its fine IMO. Just don't put the B team on mainline titles, but I guess that doesn't matter because unless its godlike people are gonna shit on a Sonic game thats different anyway.

Also people may be upset about Boost coming back but honestly, this is something people have been wanting SEGA to do with Sonic. Find a 3D gameplay style, stick with it & improve on it with each release, instead of just scrapping the gameplay for another style that'll last one game. If Boost is improved upon, then I'm fine with it coming back.
