the most 'special' thing that could happen is you playing and tuning into /pg/ all the while and seeing it get flooded with newcomers and people just spewing whatever thought comes to mind as they play, feel some sense of community and hype. persona isn't really a good game for this kind of thing though, it works best for multiplayer games.

i think s. links were about on par with P4, the characters were a little more generic. but the more i look back at P3 i realize just how little goes on in the story before the endgame compared to P4 and especially P5, and how much of it feels questionably written (all of us complaining about Strega the other night). makes me wonder how many people say P3 has the best story but they only think about the last 3 months when they say that, sort of like P2friends sometimes focus way too much on the ending of IS

And almost anyone who claims that Toriumi's S.Link was great only remembers the scene on the last day where she learns that she was talking with MC all this time and freaks out. Which wasn't even a part of her S.Link, just a bonus missable scene.

Whenever I say P2 has the best story I'm mostly referring to EP, I don't know why people who disagree always think IS when I do, especially since EP came out in English before IS

Because IS is the first part, people are more likely to be familiar with it and if they didn't like that one why would they play the continuation? There is also that while EP came out before IS in English, it was long ass time ago and now we have an updated version of ISP in English but not EPP.

I doubt anyone who played IS hasn't played EP even if they disliked the story, it's just people cherry picking because P2 has the best narrative overall.

I did.
I have no interest in EP knowing the kind of story it is and how it revolves around different characters.
IS is a nice game by itself with a bitter sweet ending. There is no urgency to play EP too after completing it. And I knew of a few people like that, who played IS only, or tried EP but didn't finish it.
