I tried with the new lightning damage nodes etc. but I just switched to standard Death's Opus Hatred, HoI etc. and it was instantly 10 times better.

people who run high dps builds will not notice the difficulty of breachlords since they nuke them in 5 seconds, they start enraging at 1/3rd life which makes them twice as dangerous then

uul netol starts spawning bonespire pools everywhere and if you don't have the dps/culling to end the fight there, you're in deep shit

You'll be doing comparatively insane damage with this since you are basically a LL scorching ray build that is doing 59% more damage from righteous fire, meanwhile your righteous fire is doing more damage than that guy's build because it's in the essence helm which is essentially an extra more multiplier support, and it's getting buffed by your scorching ray.

I'm in the middle ( :^)))) ) of both of you on that. I'd personally go for more-or-less pure RF. But you will want to do something else other than RF. Either manual cursing, utilising SR but mostly using RF for damage. Another example is when I do life-based RF, I use cyclone with fort and LGoH. It's insane survivability (can't do this for LL, of course)

Basically, I too would focus on RF. However, you certainly would want to be doing something else. Utilising all of that more damage (From RF and Pain Attunement) for SR or some other spell, it would be insanely easy and useful since all of it is right there for you--it couldn't be easier.

Oh I agree RF would be the focus, I just don't see a reason to not have a 6L scorching ray on top of it. The essence helmet wasn't possible before because of needing the vertex for purity of fire, now you can put that in a +3 unsocket ring. And not running inc aoe on top of conc effect for single target won't feel as bad since RF aoe got buffed so much. In other words, I think that guy's guide is the best set up for pure RF BEFORE patch 2.6, but now there are new options that are better.

And in order to cast scorching ray/cast the spell totem for it, you need to have mana so you can't do the 100% reservation trickster build, leaving guardian as the best choice.

To me I'd consider Trickster for shav's ring. If you're using it, you're not regenerating any mana. This lets you reserve 100% of your mana and you can use a movement skill (shield bash with fort and faster attacks perhaps) to move around and give you fort.

Also wait hold up, are you saying you would 6L scorching ray? Fuck that. If you were maximum $, you could use item rarity and quantity in 6L RF.

yeah that would be the best mapping set up, but if you want the most damage you would want the 30% more multiplier from essence'd gloves or helmet. I'd 6L scorching ray simply because there would be nothing else to do with the 6L
