Jesus wasn't crucified in Alexandria.

>However, after the fall of Jerusalem in 1187, the focus of the Crusaders shifted decisively towards Egypt and less so towards the Levant. This can be seen in the Third Crusade, where Richard the Lionheart recognized the importance of Egypt and twice suggested an invasion of the region. An assault against the Levant could not succeed without the resources and manpower of Egypt, which currently gave the Islamic powers in the region a decisive advantage. The Fourth, Fifth, Seventh, Eighth and Alexandrian Crusades all had Egypt as the intended target.

They tried that in the Fifth Crusade. At the time of the Third, they apparently didn't realize the importance of Egypt in holding onto the Holy Land, or didn't think the Muslims would be united enough to go after it the way they did.

He was based in Damascus.

>fourth crusade couldve resulted in catholics taking egypt and the middle east
>instead they attack the byzantines and let the turks walk into europe

>15k men
That crusade would have gone nowhere anyway.

DUDE LOGISTICS LMAO

The Fourth Crusade had dropped any pretense of Holy War, it was just Venice pushing for the Pope to kick the uppity Byzantine Emperor in he nuts, really.

It was enough to take constantinople and half the empire

>be let into city
>proceed to sack it

It's like claiming that it only takes a single guy to destroy the White House because a secret service agent went rogue

>dat map
>orthodox christian is orthodox, but catholics are just christian
>bulgarian borders are shown but with byzantine empire written over it, but in western europe every little shithole and town is has its name

They weren't let into the city tho. They just surprised everyone and got super lucky with the attack.

They WERE inside it. The reason they sacked it was because Alexios V didn't pay them for dethroning his successor as promised

Orthodox "christianity" is a heresy of catholicism

They were only in Galata, not in the city itself.

That's because Greeks are weak.

They were within the horn already, which is what matters, especially since the city was taken via the sea walls.

>salad man
???

>Orthodox "christianity" is a heresy of catholicism
Other way around, bud. There was no Papal concept in the Early Church, nothing like that from Christ or the Apostles. Papal supremacy is an innovation, a heresy.

Salah ad-Din
