Apoptosis are meant to be harder to recruit for plot purposes. Can't remember exactly but it's got something to do with them being "ordered" to not to cross the border between worlds.
Either way, for the first Tartarus Jaide seems to always be the first one you'll recruit, then Sully and finally Shesta. But even with max affinity there's still like roughly a 1 in 10 chance of recruiting them and even then it's still quite random since you can sometimes have them asking to join you after just one fight or never even after 20+ fights.
Just make sure you have someone like a Hunter or Monster Tamer equipped with a passive like Recruit Rate +50%/+100%, or an accessory like a Ticket of Invitation (that you can win as a prize at the Pornof underground casino). Informants and Smooth Talkers like Amira can also spam Ally Invitation as well.

I'm not sure if it's a bug or a feature, but when i played my first playthrough, something curious happened:
>Went to slug tower
>Managed to recruit both slugs on my way to the boss
>Didn't save before fight, died while trying to raise her affection
>Tried recruiting the slugs again
>After 2 hours of grinding, got nothing
>Killed the boss
>Tried recruiting again
>Got both of them in 5 minutes
Very frequently people have this issue (Tartarus areas, Spider Girl, etc) but it seems like whenever you just finish the area and come back later, the enemies therein will recruit easier.
How could you not want to recruit poor Eater?

Speaking of saves, the version of NScripter used in Monster Girl Quest has an arbitrary code execution vulnerability related to save games (not that anyone here has shared maliciously crafted save games). It also uses up an entire CPU core all the time, for seemingly no good reason, which will probably make your fans go into jet engine mode if you have a laptop. You can fix both of these issues by updating to the latest version of NScripter.

Keep in mind that Part 1 was released a few months after the initial trailer was unveiled along with a demo in the lead up prior to that. Given that TRTR have stated that there isn't going to be a trial this time around you can assume that Part 2 will be released not too long after the PV goes up.
