Is there any evidence of what those brave Acheans actually wore?
>he even gave them a port
Absolute madman.
Poland was "immune" to the plague, because it was a backwards shithole with no roads. Being underdeveloped and having no infrastructure, people just didn't travel much, and didn't spread plague much.
I saw this on facebook this morning
any more like this one?
not quite lad, yeah Poland traded less than many other nations but plague was avoided mostly thanks to a competent king and a actual working quarantine.
I remember this thread, glad to see someone saved it. Great stuff.
poles are clearly the ubermensch and your explanation is a jewish conspiriacy
If you consider trade routes (which were overwhelmingly based around sea and river transport, especially in areas without Roman roads) it starts making complete sense.
The plague spread clockwise starting in Crimea, by sea transport throughout the Mediterranean and then much slower towards the north by river and land routes.
Meanwhile Poland's most important trade route by far was up north towards the Baltic along the Vistula, with relatively little trade with the east and west by land and very little indeed with the south as the Carpathian mountains were in the way.
So they were among the last to be hit and have had a good few years' forewarning of the plague's spread and impact. As they also just happened to have a competent king in charge they managed to quarantine the few outbreaks they've had effectively.
Dicks out for Hammurabi
It's supposed to be an over analyzed description.
Here, have a painting of what's to come when it's recess.
You can't be serious.

nigger kyss
> a helmet made of leather/...outside the gleaming teeth of a white-tusked boar/ ran round and round in rows stitched neat and tight"
Illiad, Book 10, lines 304 - 308.
See pic related, a helmet found in Mycenae.
The Illiad is a bizarre mixture of information from different time periods, but the older parts of the Illiad have clear references to Mycenean places, helmets, bronze weapons, tower shields and the like, whereas the later addititions contain references to iron weapons, horseback riding and the like,
>Palaiologoi flag representing the Angeloi dynasty
